When is PC getting red reticle back?

Since its obvious it did little to deter cheaters anyways, can we just get it back…?

Hopefully soon. It’s dumb it was removed in the first place.

Wait, why was it even removed?

as an anti-cheat measure. apparently you can get some type of hack that will automatically fire your weapon the instant your reticle turns red. timing advantage

Really frustrated at this. Gears 5 did the same thing. It just feels bad. I like my red crosshair. Find some other anti cheat cause this is just upsetting.

I find it more infuriating since red reticle is needed to get the proper projectile drop off on the Skewer. But, since Pc players don’t have that, we have to basically eye ball it…

So frustrating

Yea

Its almost as if Hackers should really get their IP address blocked by the servers instead of just a ban.

Granted yes. But I am pretty sure that if they ban a VPN IP Address, then that screws over A LOT of Hackers who attempt to use it.

sadly tru.

Perhaps PCs should automatically delete system 32 upon being detected of using hacks?

Wich is already dumb thinking, since there still is the script behind it since that makes the AA kicks in, so cheats will still just use that script to activate it. The red eticle is just some visual aid that tells the player the AA is kicking in. Turning of that visual aid doesn’t turn of the script, since that is necesary for the AA.

And players who just play it fairly… Just wait untill hackers then deliberately using IP’s of populair streamers or the pro gamers…

Then 343 would face major lawsuits, since that is clearly against the law and 343 is then responsible for all damages that comes from that. Besides: skilled hackers will probably just make the system think it was another pc who was doing it, so it won’t destroy the hackers pc, but the pc of some innocent person (who perhaps don’t even play halo).

Jesus that’s extreme.

Hardware bans would be more effective with imposing a “cost of cheating” than deleting someone’s digital life over a game.

Pretty sure they were joking. At least, I hope so.

Can anyone explain? And what has it to do with cheaters?

I’m thinking about the same time M&K receives proper support.

Cheaters were allegedly using the red reticle as an anchoring point for aim bots.

They instead changed the anchoring point to the outline of the player instead.

So 343 disabled it.

No handicap to mechanical aim on certain weapons is all that comes to mind personally, what else would be “proper support”?

Identical bullet magnetism to controller.

Is there a reference for this?
