It wasn’t confirmed. But, it is said that we’re getting a Forge Canvas in the next DLC. No idea yet, but I’m hoping that it’s Forge World.

Aside from the sheer nostalgia, Forge World allowed for a variety of terrain of its own. Not to mention the expansive ocean that everyother forge map is lacking.
Tom French (lead Forge developer) already said it was planned for Halo 5, whether he stays true to this is a different story. And yeah, I agree it should’ve been in MoR but c’mon, when do the update additions ever include everything they should (example: 1 Gravity Hammer in Hammer Storm but 3 Gravity Hammers in the update after).
I personally would like to see something other than forge world. Something with a new back drop that we don’t have yet to give us more variety in the maps we play. Forge world was a cop out to not have to give us more unique back drops.
Forge World does have the structure to make multiple maps.

They’ve been adding new stuff to forge. A lot of new stuff.
Let’s also not forget that with Forge World comes Blood Gulch (Hemorrhage).

Definitely.
They haven’t confirmed a date. All they’ve confirmed so far is that it’s on the list of things they hope to add to the game.

i am aware of a new canvas being released, but i do not expect it to be Forge World.
obviously anything is possible and maybe Forge World will be in the firefight update. no one really knows for sure
I would prefer to see a new forge canvass that isn’t forge world. Forge world was great but we really just need to move on. We aren’t going to get anywhere if all they do is keep remaking the old stuff with new 'n tasty graphics. Probably because vocal part of the community pretty much just wants each new Halo to be a carbon copy of the older ones.
