Email or Waypoint. The current flights for Halo 2 are being sent out via Waypoint messages. I’m sure they’ll inform us once/if an announcement is made.
I really hope I get a chance to play it in the beta. I signed up for the testing with Reach but never got contacted to do so.
With all the drama from Covid-19 and the lack of any mention, I think at this point we just need to be happy they assure us the game won’t be delayed (although that can always change).
If flighting will still happen at all, then it has to happen before September or not at all. Any later, and the flighting will be nothing but a marketing demo.
If the game isn’t delayed due to the coronavirus, then the beta and/or flights will be pretty useless tbh, as they won’t make any substantial changes, just bugs and glitches really.

You should be able to, yeah.
If Infinite is due to launch in late November, a proper Beta would be expected at least 40 days before launch.
At the moment, its all up in the air if X1X or Infinite will even launch this year since all we have are trailers and no further information.

Even at this point, assuming that Infinite hits the presumed November release date, a beta is going to be more-or-less a network stress test.
The earliest we are going to see the beta is June given that we don’t even have announced dates yet, and that puts it 4-5 months before release.
No studio is making substantive changes to its game that close to release. There may be some slight weapon tuning, movement speed adjustments, etc which result from the beta, but nothing game changing. Basic movement mechanics, map design, etc. has all been solidified well before that point.

The requirements say you need to be 18 years old sadly. Reason for that in most cases is because the game has a M rating or isn’t rated yet. Sorry about that!
As for who is claiming the beta is going to be useless, remember that server stress tests are a thing. Also collecting data about the hardware of various PC users will be helpful for them too. Every test that comes out at least a month prior to the release date will be helpful imho, especially for the new console! Certainly not for gameplay or level design, but 343i had internal pro league players for that!
