I’m not one that cares about little things being spoiled, or even some borderline major things. However, I know the entire plot of Halo 4 was detailed before its release, including the death of Cortana. It did not affect me because that was before I used the forums a lot, but I know quite a few people were spoiled (My friend being one). My actual question is: When do you think someone will be a -Yoink- and reveal the entire plot? When does it usually happen? Because that’s when I’ll be going dark.
Not sure I would say anytime for now onwards to be honest OP is a good time to go dark if you don’t want any spoilers. If anyone want threads checking though for spoilers etc I will be more than happy to read things first incase someone has posted something. I don’t mind to much knowing spoilers as I will enjoy the game no matter what even if I know the outcome before I get there I can still enjoy the experience.
I would no-doubt still enjoy the game, but it would definitely take a lot of the excitement I had for campaign away. And you’re a brave person, stepping into the front lines like that. You have my respect, sir.
I’d say the best time to go dark is probably not until about another one month ago … roughly.

Probably around now would be a good time, I think. BUT, there hasn’t been as much revealed as for Halo 4’s campaign this time around.
We’ve only seen a couple out of context missions. With Halo 4, we saw probably half the campaign before it released. Without leaks. That was two months before release, and we’re 22 days and only know multiplayer stuff, essentially.
If you want to play it safe, now would be a good time.

No problem OP. I am not the most liked person on these forums as I have some far from favourable opinions and can sometimes come across far to aggressively trying to make my points stand. Anything I can do to help the community though I will, as I know how annoying it can be to have something spoiled that you were really looking forward to it takes away a lot of the enjoyment for some people and really ruin the story for some if they already know the outcome. So as I said really anything I can do to try and prevent spoilers for otherwise I will be more than happy to help.
Now. Halo 4’s entire campaign was leaked a month early. We’re 22 days away from launch. It’s very likely that leaks will start popping up in the next week or two. Maybe even sooner.

I only watch multiplayer videos and the customization ones.
Unfortunately, i will have to go dark the day it comes out, because i’ll not be able to play the game until the 28th at night. And then there will be major spoilers from people that are playing.

It sucks because I am waiting for forge news, but I have to be extremely careful about everything now.

Forge news will most likely be posted on waypoint first. I don’t think there will be an actual test event for it. And if that’s all you’re waiting for, it’s supposed to happen sometime this week.
Like others have said, now would be a good time if you want to play it safe. I typically go dark about a week before a game releases, it’s also when I usually play through the old games! Now that process is easier with the MCC.

Yes I got spoiled on H4. 5 simple words that ruined EVERYTHING on a youtube comment section. Go dark, NOW! BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
Let me put it this way: If you want to see how close to the edge you can get without falling off of it, then you’re going to have to actually fall of the edge to find out.
As others have said, you’re pushing your luck by not being dark already. Personally, I only read and watch what’s here on Waypoint, and even then none of the campaign stuff. Avoid comment sections like the plague, and definitely do not do internet searches for Halo 5. That’s my advise, take it or leave it.
i think it was about this time, a little later possibly that things started getting leaked, i would say though that 343 seem to be alot more secretive this time of gameplay of campaign, seems to be alot of camapign gameplay but all of the same missions… so i think there keeping a lid on it more but i would say… possibly next week onwards… late this week…?
