Morning Spartans,
This is an exercise in creativity, our community is full of creative minds and it shows when detailing your Spartan role, naming ships, his or her daily routine etc. My topic is set during the Human Covenant war and asks the question of where, when and what was your character doing when the war met you?
Were you part of the UNSC war machine clashing on the ground and in orbit desperately trying to defend your planet from being turned to glass? A tool within the Covenant empire enacting the will of the prophets and burning the humans away? Or a civilian desperate just to survive, while watching all you know burn away in war, seeing the horrible aliens from you nightmares on the street to then be saved by a mythical Spartan?
Create whatever scene you wish once set in the war. Try to remain within canon as well is my only stipulation. With that said, type away.
My Spartan was actually working as a MI6 spy on Earth when the Covenant attacked Reach and glassed it. He obviously already knew the Covenant were a threat, and he knew the UNSC would need all the help they could get, so he quickly joined up, after making it ok with M of course. However, he didn’t join the tradition UNSC marine grunts, he went to work for ONI, the two spy companies had a good relationship so he was able to get in smoothly. He worked with experimental weapons, and tested new snipers and ammo. He used his sharp shooting skills to rise up the ranks to a sniper first class, and worked along side Sgt. Johnson when the Covenant invaded Earth. But before that he was on Lunar working on battle plans, he was one of the few survivors that escaped when the Covenant destroyed it. Once he got back to Earth it was already a warzone. Admiral Paragosky from Sydney ordered him to gear up and deploy to help defend the ONI base there, but after some conflict he somehow ended up on a pelican to New Mombasa. He met Sgt Johnson there, but it was short lived as he had a different assignment, but it’s classify code red. He then somehow got out of that mess by basically Ex machining his way out. He was awarded a purple heart for… INFORMATION NOT AVAILABLE… and that’s how he got it. After the Master Chief went through the portal to the Ark, he kinda just disappeared onto an ONI corvette to be debriefed, and given a new mission. After the end of the War he went on shore leave and went to a vacation planet. Blah blah blah, he met a new guy and they hit it off well, and soon enough they were engaged. Some story later Jun comes to them and asks them if they wanted to join the new Spartan program, and they talk about it, blah blah, they joined the Spartan program, there are tons of details that are missing so yea.
My Spartan, Mario B-317, was a Headhunter who after his partner died, was shuffled into the Navy and it’s NavSpecWar program. However, his tenure outside of the Headhunter program was cut short after he was deemed MIA on Cygnus III during it’s glassing in September 2552. He along with his squad of ODSTs were killed on their mission to retrieve a VIP and sensitive data he held sent from Reach before it’s glassing, pertaining to Forerunner artifacts found beneith Sword Base.
My spartan was a civilian on reach when it got attacked by the covenant, He survived and joined the UNSC and became a marine. He defended earth during the events of Halo 3 and travelled to the Ark with the forward unto dawn. After the war he was chosen to become a Spartan IV.
