And why does Onyx start at 1500 and go up? Shouldn’t it started at 1500 and go down with ranks 200 to1 being the Champion ranks? That would be better since I have no idea how this system works right now.
1500 is your CSR score once you’ve reached onyx and the only way to increase it is to win matches. You reach champion once your CSR score surpasses someone that is already in champion tier. When this happens the 200th person in champion is kicked back out into onyx unless they top someone elses CSR score. As an exmaple lets say the last person in champion (200th in the world in that playlist) has a CSR score 1900, the 2nd to last person in champion (199th in the world in that playlist) has a CSR of 1915. In this instance if you play a match and win and your CSR score is now 1920 you now become the 199th in the world. The person that was 199th in the world is now kicked down to 200th in the world and the person that was 200th in the world is now kicked down into Onyx, until they surpass someone’s score again.
