When does the November season end and December season start, at which time ranks and season results will be finished, frozen, and ranks reset? (with season results going Into history) 343 should state these season start and end dates so that people can schedule and plan accordingly to finish their final season rankings and results. Thanks!
I would guess ending at the end of november and starting at the start of december. Will your profile always show your highest CSR ever achieved?
It was my understanding that Seasons didn’t start at all until December. What we are playing now are not season playlists.
I don’t think your overall rank gets reset just the onyx diamond platinum etc… ones

no i am pretty sure it changes
however if you want to “look badass” with a high rank then tryhard in FFA or SWAT to have a diamond/onyx on your profile

Yes I’m fairly sure that your overall experience (xp points) rank (1-152) does not get reset ever. However your csr rank (silver,plat, diamond, etc) is planned to get reset each monthly season.
That was a good point… I think we may not even be in a formal season yet… With the first season starting in December? Why not call this current season Nov 2015? What’s going to change in Dec 2015? (I do know big team battle coming in dec) Perhaps the formal communication and structure for the Dec season is still being finalized… It would be nice to know when ranks are going to be reset thou… I’m assuming they will give us at least a weeks notice before?
Also has anybody read Any clear communication on how and what info will be shown from prior season best csr ranks? I am going to go reread the recent news (about 2 weeks ago) post on how the csr ranking system and seasons works again to see if I missed any details.

i thought rank does go down, it did in the beta
I didnt know that the seasons would be monthly, thats not a lot of time, I was thinking more like every 3 months. If it is monthly you have very little time to climb into a higher rank.

CSR rank goes up or down based on wins or leases. Continue to win and csr will go
up, lose and it goes down. He is basically saying that he was winning more and going up continuously until he hit a “wall” at his current level of diamond swat… Now at this “wall” he seems to be winning and losing about evenly and staying same rank… and having trouble maintaining a positivea crazy enough (greater than 50%) win ratio to continue moving up.
Your xp points experience rank continues to go up forever thou based on xp points. I think the max experience rank is level 152… Which requires a crazy high amount of XP points.
I did read up a bit more on the seasons. It seems the first official season is supposed To start sometime in Dec2015 (not sure what we are in now in Nov2015, perhaps you can call it the launch preseason…).

Howeverr , I still am unclear whether they will show Your prior season highest csr ranks achieved… I hope so… They should show and save in some sot of history all of your prior ranks achieved in each ranked playlists before they reset them… And should display at the top of this potential history your highest prior ranks achieved seperate from whatever current reset seasonal ranks you are in… Do you agree?
I’m happy with the way they designed the seasons. My only hope is that they do something like Hearthstone where you earn either req packs or unique emblems or skins for participating and hitting a certain rank each month. Maybe nothing super high but like Hearthstone give rewards to those who placed. I’d really like to see them start adding daily and weekly challenges as well.
Yes, I think emblems are a great idea.
They said they are going to reward emblems, but it wasn’t clear whether it would be csr rank specific emblem showing highest csr for example like a diamond specific emblem… Or Just be a general emblem that all seasonal placing members would get equal/same for bronze and onyx csr ranks for example…? Have to balance this… Don’t want Halo5 csr ranks and emblems shown to be to bragging redundant which would discourage lower skilled players that could only obtain a bronze-gold emblem while other onyx emblems were be flaunted by too bad-mannered players. However , that said I would be fine with either general season emblems or rank specific emblems… Priority being whatever the experts think is best for the greater halo community and to encourage halo high population participation.

At a minimum I would like the prior csr ranks achieved In some sort of backup history page though, for later history analysis and to be able to remember some of those hard ranks you worked your butt off for. Some of which ranks may have some great team work memories tied to. Just like in professional competitive sports (baseball, etc), … It’s good to have top reward, ranks, and championship goals to push top teams and to fuel the entertainment of the competition… And then to keep and even display prior season history in the backup!
