How long did it take the rest of you?
All of these stats and numbers matters to some extent as they may give the player bragging rights. There is a reason why some has grinded for SR152, showed off there K/D ratio or showed that they have reached the rank of Onyx or Champion in a given playlist.
It matters now because of legacy rewards. But honestly just armor coatings… not quite worth for others. So personally, when I beat the campaign, played multiplayer hoping to hit max rank and learning how much it took and seeing how much armor was in the game that was meh and learning quickly that no matter what I’m always going to find other players with the same exact armor lay out as me because its only 2 pieces that can be changed… yeah learned it wasn’t worht playing and it was meaningless when I got bored and mcc started to get updated.

In Halo 5, there exist 12,464,928,000 armor combinations if different coloring options are included. If coloring options are excluded, then there do only exist 9,282 unique armor combinations.
EDIT: Changed the number of unique armor combinations independent of different colorings from 1,001 to 9,282 due to mistake in the calculations.

Oh, I was just referring to how random the matchups are. Sometimes you’ll be able to trash guys that are ranked way higher than you, then your team gets destroyed by low diamonds in the next match. But then if a legitimate champion solo ques, he’s forced to play with -Yoink- players. It’s either rng or rigged against you to lose.

1,001 unique combos. But how many of those look good and are actually gonna be worn. Who the hell will were mk VI with the helio skill armor or one of the crap helmets? People like the main core stuff, the rest is filler. And on top of that. I dont own most of the armor so I’m lowered in choices. More armor isn’t anything when alot of it looks good

Oh in that case when I was just reking 140s players. Rank is just to show players amount of time put into it. For ranked playlist, I got sick of it. Players would join and be afk on my team or just f around.

The meaning of these numbers is to show the total amount of possible combinations and not the number of combinations meet a aesthetic quality threshold based on a subjective standard. The main reason for this is that subjective opinions may differ from person to person and a such number would be much more difficult to calculate.
I think I’ll always care to some extent on a personal level.
It never really mattered to me if I’m going to be honest the only thing I really cared about was meming or stuff like that
Stats are subjective to the individual that has them. Me personally? They don’t matter at all to me. I know what type of player i am and my stats bare that out. I’ll never be the best halo player or ever be able to compete against anyone in any sort of tournament… they are what they are, I’m only concerned about xp at this and getting to 152…
The minute I started playing since I don’t play Halo as a competitive game, I go to CSGO for that

Me too. I love stats.
I know stats and skill don’t always go hand-in-hand but having good stats on Halo is something I’m passionate about.
It would be cool if it was displayed on a service record kinda like what halo 3 had.
