For the past few weeks I’ve been playing the game to my satisfaction until today. It seems like everyone either learned how to wall hack and get aimbot now because I’ve been dying left and right for my past 5 or 6 games today. People know where I am somehow even though I just get to that spot. People have the reflexes of a sentry gun, know where I spawn, get lucky grenade chucks, and overall I’m just outnumbered constantly, even when I have half the team behind me. Is there something wrong? What happened to the matchmaking? I know I can’t possibly just become -Yoink- in one day; maybe it’s just my luck that I get paired up with the most elite teams known to man, or maybe I’m just becoming paranoid?
Today I’ve been killed by the luckiest random BR shots and grenade throws than I have ever died from since Halo 5 came out. I’ve been forced to camp it out because I can’t even capture points or kill any bosses because the other team is like a coordinated SWAT force. The other teams have sharpshooters ready for you whenever you leave a base and then the four to eight guys who rush with power weapons while you and your team can’t do anything because you all still have Lv3 REQS. I wish I had a team of friends to play with but they don’t play Halo.
Yeah, some games feel like that… 4 minutes of game-play and our core is already at 25%, we be getting beat 200 to 48 kills, my req level is only 4 cause i cant find enough enemies to shoot although they are already half way thru a who-can-shoot-me-the-most competition, the AI’s land and get “murdelized” by an unseen enemy and we haven’t had the time to even get to the AI spawn place; finally manage to move more than 400 meters without getting snipped and see an enemy spartan, only to find out that both his grenades are already exploding over my head and his 3 shot burst from half a mile ends my misery real quick. Spawn again and before i could move this time i get promptly assassinated by an invisible Spartan enemy who gladly breaks my spine in a clean, surgical fashion. Spawn again, start running and get rammed from behind by a passing one man driven Warthog… spawn again, make a left, run for cover, stop, run again, make right turn and get wasted by a tank across the map.
Yeap, some games man, some games…

Some games is starting to become every game, I’ve been through some pretty similar scenarios for my past 9 games. The sad part is this isn’t even an exaggeration.
I wouldn’t say it’s because of “tryhards” maybe things have changed since launch because the first couple weeks people were still figuring out how and who to play with.
For me I have made many new friends to form fireteams and play together with. It’s not that were trying harder is just that we have better teamwork and communication. Any team coming up against our full fireteam is all ready going to be short handed. Not to mention be freaked out by all our matching spartan icons
I’ve notice this as well. Gone are the days of actually having a long fun game but now it’s just how fast can they get to your core. It’s rather annoying also doesn’t help that I’m usually paired with people who do not want to cap objectives or kill bosses. I was just in a game where it was myself and a friend who were trying to kill bosses or cap bases, no one else was around. Since I no one actually played the mode like it’s suppose to I would get destroyed when I tried to get a base or a boss. Meanwhile my team was piled on top of each other in our single base. We could have easily won if they actually played the game.
dude just because someone is a better than you doesnt mean they are at tryhard. what a ridiculous notion. anyone who gets beat complains that people are tryhards. would you rather have a bunch of players who don’t care and just run around like idiots? (remember, those players would be on your team as well. and these “thyroids” are the same people you are loosing with in warzone on your team.) people always find someone to complain about and “tryhards” are just a scapegoat for people who like to -Yoink- and moan.
When you get better reqs it generally matches you with other people with the same reqs who have probably played longer than the average joe. I know this because Im almost 100 percent complete on reqs.
God I hate openign the weapon variation reqs more than the armor reqs.
If the other team is working together and your team is running around like chicken little it ain’t gonna work out. Also there only 3 maps so everyone is learning tactics and AI spawns. My advice is once your team gets over 300 points behind just have fun or work on commendations.
You’re probably just getting an unlucky streak of playing against decent people while having horrible teammates, or you’re playing against full teams which can easily beat a team of randoms making it seem like they’re ‘tryhards’.

map knowledge, I personally do quite well at warzone because I know the map geometry well, have a good non-dying quality, and know what reqs work best on which map. I wouldnt say I’m a try hard, though I do try… hard. Figure out what reqs you like, use them and sell the ones that dont work, for example the infamous mongoose. also learn the difference between the maps, for example on stormbreak I use the ghost to great success, on escape from arc I use banshees (ultra Variant), on raid I use snipers a lot because it has great shooting lanes, especially to and from the spire. So take the time to figure out what you like and what you don’t, and just a get a good feel for the maps, you’ll get better as you learn these things. Also I’ve never played a match that felt so brutally one sided as you described, except maybe on assault specifically.

How many matches have you played then? There are extremely one-sided matches in warzone where normal warzone literally turns into a warzone assault match only that you’ve lost already.
