I was wondering if I should grind for it
A day or 2 ago. Whether it’s worth it is dependent on whether you want the assassinations and/or the boost packs
It’s been live for 72 hours at this time, it is feasible to earn with REQ points if you play enough.
Most people earn roughly 1000 REQ points each match so by that logic completing 100 matches would yield the 100000 required REQ points for the assasination pack.
Worth it? In the end it’s a personal decision, do you have all the armor/helmets/visors/emblems you want? Personally I’m torn between using the points on silver/gold packs and the animation pack, because you can earn stances and animation through packs, and I doubt anyone will regularly use all of the animations/stances included in the pack.
Like I said, it’s a personal decision but it is definitely feasible.

If you want to unlock everything in the armory, then the pack is definitely not worth it and you should continue to open Silvers/Golds. If the pack contains something specific you want, then it’s worth it to purchase using REQ points.
These packs are NEVER worth it IMO. Is the few random unlocks(that are in the regular req system any ways) worth all the unlocks you would have gotten had you used those points for regular silver or gold packs? The only special packs that maybe worth it are the classic helmet pack since they aren’t in the req system, the sticker shock weapon skins as they aren’t in the req system or the legendary arena/warzone boost packs. All these other packs like the reach pack or recruit pack or animation pack…all that stuff is in the req system so you will get the stuff sooner or later.
Focus on bronze packs till no unlocks, then silver until no unlocks, then gold.
ZAPDANGO, is that really the best way to go? I’ve just been buying Gold packs… Might give that a shot, but I do want a different stance, it hasn’t given me one for MONTHS! I might just grind and buy the Ani-Pack for a quick boost to those categories… I have my Scout Decoy armor and helmet, so I’m good on that front. Mayhaps I should just do what you said though, seems logical.
