That’s surprising, since Palmer hasn’t acted like anything but a child in the games so far. Halsey may have the most punchable face and a very loose mouth, but she almost always gets the job done.
I think they still don’t get along, but after losing Halsey so many times (Spartan Ops and Escalation) I think Palmer wants to keep her as close as possible.
I doubt they’re on each other’s Christmas card list, but the cause of saving the galaxy from extinction probably kinda motivated them to work together real quick, haha.

They’re not friends. It was probably a writing decision since people didn’t like the way Palmer acted in Halo 4, so they toned her down in Halo 5.
I don’t know a lot about their backgrounds, but from what I saw in Halo 5, I wouldn’t say their close…Barely working together.

The original intent was that during/after the Battle of Sunaion started, Palmer would take Halsey off-world.

Thats a fact. There was nothing spartan about her. “I thought youd be taller” who are you talking to nameless henchmen. You dont even have a name tag you stand no chance. Just go ahead and lay down.
No clue and judging from the direction of the final issue of escalation I doubt its getting addressed any time soon.
