I always thought CTF was 2 teams trying to steal each others flag to score. The whole point of the game was all players on one team kept pushing forward until at least most players on the other team were dead. One person grabbed the flag and the rest continued to kill the enemy off spawn to give him time to score. Rinse and repeat until the game was over.
Now all we have is bad kids staying back in our base saying they are protecting the flag. They camp with their AR or bolt shot and in all honesty do nothing to help their team. The sad thing is players are so bad anymore and there is no real ranking system you could end up on a team with 3 or 4 of these players. Please if your one of these players explain to me how your helping your team.
I dunno, sometimes I stay back cause everyone else leaves the flag open for the other team. LOL, but in return I get naded sometimes cause one person wants the entire team to get the flag. I have seen how fast a team can lose their flag, if at least one or two don’t stay and watch it. As for a whole team, that is annoying… whats worse is when you go run for the flag and the other team is doing the same thing.
Over the years, including all the past Halo games, it has always ovvured that when I don’t defend the flag… no one ever does on my team. So I always play flag defense in CTF. I use firepower so I have a precision rifle and an AR for up close. That combination works out very well for me
So, your idea of CTF is that whole team attacks, reaches the flag, takes it, and spawn kills for the rest of the game?
Really interesting. Specially becouse for sure the other team would be letting you that without attacking back your flag…
I agree that it’s annoying when the whole team is “protecting the flag”, but it is always important to have one or two people keep it safe. I usually stay back when I have the Mantis or something, since it’s the best way to assure that the enemy team doesn’t get to score.
