When can we talk in pregame lobby?

Seriously, I have a friend whom has an unknown NAT type (he cant change it because it’s company hardware) so we have use game chat to communicate. is 343 ever gonna fix this issue??

There’s nothing 343 can do to “fix” your buddy’s NAT issue.

You guys should try using skype or discord or something outside of Xbox if party chat isn’t an issue.

You mean his NAT type prevents using party chat? Rough.

I don’t think we should expect lobby chat to be implemented in Halo 5. At this point, it’s coming up on 2 years old; I wouldn’t expect any new major updates to the game. I could end up being pleasantly surprised, but I don’t think that’s an update we’ll see. Hopefully 343i implements it in future Halo titles.

It’s not about fixing his NAT its about being able to chat in lobby. He can’t fix his unknown NAT since its company property.

Anything but open NAT can, and will, cause issues on Xbox Live. That’s not a studio’s fault or thing to work around.

I get that it’s not something he can fix but again, it’s not up to a studio or game to fix something that is client side.

I think you’re misunderstanding here. He’s not blaming 343 for the NAT issues, he wants to know if there will ever be game chat in lobbies, a basic feature pretty much every single multiplayer game has except Halo 5, and a feature every Halo game had except Halo 5.

I doubt any changes are gonna be made at this point you and your buddy’s best hope is use Skype or something like that
