Ever since Halo 5, theater mode has not been usable. In 2007 we were gifted with theater mode in Halo 3. A feature that offered smooth playback and the option to make clips instead of saving entire gameplays. Now it’s 2021 (almost 2022) and for the last 7 years this feature has not been viable and extra features in the mode that were once available in Halo 3 cease to exist.
In present day a theater mode should offer:

Smooth and fluent playback that actually looks like you are watching a live perspective. (I can’t believe I even have to list this)

Playback speed options that are percentage based. Playback speeds in the range of 25% to 200% (100% being normal playback.

Kill feed options to only show kills by the player you are spectating. This is something that you can do with counterstrike while using HLAE demo mod. It’s extremely useful for making CSGO fragvids and is something that would make Halo montages MUCH better as well as other halo content.

Another kill feed option would be to adjust the length that the kill stays in the feed.

The option to TURN OFF RADAR. There’s no reason why I should see radar in a ranked arena playback. It’s not on in the game mode so why is it on in theater?
Some of the things I added would be wonderful additions. Most importantly, smooth playback and playback speeds are something that us as a community shouldn’t have to ask for. It’s 2021, those features are standard at this point with all shooters that offer some sort of match replay option. 343, please at least give us the mode to the standards we expect.
