Of course, we’re all disappointed with the delay of Halo, but I myself see it as a necessary evil. I was so hyped even to just see the gameplay but now with the delay and what not, when do you all think we will see more news?
Do you think they will wait until they add in the ray-tracing before showing any more gameplay? If that is the case it could be MONTHS!! I don’t know about you guys but it’s hard to keep the hype alive when we’re so in the dark. Are there any Xbox events coming up or anything you think we might hear some info from?

When people are asking for ray tracing to be added - I think it is more along the lines of general lighting to help texture quality. And probably shadows. It’s a complicated topic and I wont pretend I can explain it… but check out the Digital Foundry videos. Essentially texture quality is currently lost in shadow.
So hopefully this is weeks as opposed to months - assuming that the tools they need are in the new Direct X API’s.
This is as opposed to the super cool next gen ray tracing that people drool over with reflections etc. These are super intensive and unlikely to work in an open world game at 4K and 60fps (at least not this early in the generation). Think more of a corridor shooter experience where the game has stronger control over what is happening in your relatively limited view.
