Right now, the only way to play objective (the types that are currently in the game I mean, not the ones that have been cut/delayed for Christ knows what) is team arena. Even then, according to a 343 employee in a thread posted here a while back, your chances of playing objective are at 52%. We’ve recently been told that we’ll get unranked playlists at some point, but we still have no word on an objective playlist. I could understand not having it on launch since stability was the priority over a large amount of content after the MCC debacle, but it’s been 5 weeks now without any information on the subject.
I know that I’m asking people who don’t know any better than I do, but I’m kinda holding out hope to get a developer response. When will we have A) all the objective gametypes we’ve come to know over a decade and a half and B) when will we have a means to play them in matchmaking beyond a coin flip?
I would love for an Objective Playlist that has all of our classic game-types. I would also like CTF to be excluded so it can have its own playlist.
But yeah I agree, they definitely should at least give us some kind of response on this.
They really need to add an objective list, but if they use the voting for weekends, it will never happen. It would seem that the greatest facet of halo (it’s incredible variety of modes and ways to play) will die with Halo 5. In it’s place, we’ll have an incredible variety of slayer and ways to play slayer…
It’s a shame really, but luckily there are tons of single-player games to play shrug I’ve about given up hope on them actually adding a decent set of playlists. Too much emphasis on there being a heavy population in the playlists, not enough emphasis on having playlists worth branching out into.
Maybe things will change, but I sort of doubt it.
They should scrap team arena and make it team objective. There’s already team slayer, so I don’t see the point in including slayer in team arena.
