Bungie was too stubborn to admit their mistake, and ignored it.
Now some people who rely on it as a crutch will defend active camo and say it has “counters” (lol, like running away. Promethean vision only sometimes helps)
Anyways, 98% of people (real statistic, I did a double blind study) agree
CAMPING WITH ACTIVE CAMO AND SNIPER IS OVERPOWERED AND OBNOXIOUS
Please 343, at least fix camo + sniper.
I support the use of AC but, AC and sniper together is a bit much, I wouldn’t mind when using the sniper if I couldn’t also have AC. I use Ac with sniper on the rare occasions I decide to use teh sniper but understand and support the OP.

I have to use active camo when sniping. It’s the only way to avoid being killed by noobs.

There are many ways to avoid being killed by noobs. Being a good player is just one of them. Try that instead!
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, I’ve got a loadout just for Ragnarok, DMR/Boltshot. Active Camo with AA Efficiency and Ammo.
Sprint to the Sniper, with extra ammo and use your AA Efficiency package to keep camo’d as much as possible. Beautiful.
Camo should have stayed a powerup that you find on the map. Same with all the AA’s actually.

Or in this case, an ordnance drop. Overshield is a drop, Camo should be too
I never used Armor Lock, not even for the achievement …
…I don’t use Active Cammo or Boltshot because it is for losers and wusses…

Indeed. I think it would be interesting to test AA’s only being in ordnance drops.
This game has multiple problems, but AC/sniper is not one of them. The reason Bungie never admitted their ‘mistake’ is because it was never a mistake to begin with. Yes, using AC and getting a sniper rifle is a good combo, but it isn’t OP.

Agree if your team is paying attention it is completely able to be countered.

they should leave it like it is. or put out all AA.

THIS AA i dont like, pls 343i (whinnig) put it out … bla bla bla. all or nothing.

Using active camo reduced the rate a shield recharged… Acceptable nerf? Still hard as hell to discover, but if ever discovered… Dead.
Every game there are always at least 2, sometimes more. Just played a 4v4 where EVERYONE on enemy team was using it.

Actually, you two have swayed me to the dark side. If you are alert to where the sniping spots are and use good counter measures the sniper won’t last.

I don’t agree the game sucks, although it has major issues. However the rest is spot on. These major issues, such as camo and bolt shot in load out will not get addressed because 343 do not have the balls to admit they were wrong and put it right.
Sniper and AC is fine in my opinion. If you know there’s a sniper hiding and you start running towards him in open sight, then you probably have death wish or lack basic FPS skills.

I don’t know man, a sniper can sit anywhere. If I’m trying to look at him and he’s a decent distance away, he’s going to snipe me before I find him. My teammates might swarm him, but with these rather large maps odds are he will move before teammates get there.
