So, we’ve seen a bit more of halo 5, we’ve played the beta, we have seen a glimpse at what the game will be like. The main points for me are warzone in general with 12v12 +AI which I am looking forward to, however not having playable elites and Spartan abilities is a disappointment.
My question to you, right here, right now, seeing what you have seen and played: when are you getting halo 5 (if at all)? and why?
Played the Beta enjoyed satisfied with what I saw at E3 if it wasn’t amazing although Warzone looks like fun for a few hours of just chilled back Halo. I will preorder closer to release so I can preload the game and play on release though. I am kind of glad E3 was not amazing though I don’t want to much ruined, I also think E3 gets less and less exciting each year though as we are now at a point where until we actually see life like graphics nothing is going to amaze us as everything has already been done and dusted before because technology has advanced so fast. The wow factor from gaming has gone I just play games now because I enjoy them same with movies I watch them to enjoy nothing anymore is WOW.

I havent pre ordered, but it probably will. It isnt the game of the year, but at least it looks like it will be fun for a very long time. The beta was great, I’m nervous about the campaign story, and warzone looks… interesting. Can’t tell if its good or bad until I play. Either way, they’ve hit the $60 worth of content that i feel makes it worth purchasing. I might (will certainly) even get the $100 version for the Fall of Reach series and other content.

Just out of intrest what would you say would be your GOTY? I watched a lot of E3 and there are a lot of games I would like to play etc but nothing to me really stood out as yes this is going to be GOTY.

Are you only talking about First Person Shooters? if not, Fallout 4 is among this year in terms of popularity.

I was thinking batman arkham would get goty, but yeah its not an fps so there’s no comparison. Battlefront will do very well especially with the release of star wars 7
Day Negative Seven, then staring at my CE for seven days waiting to play it.
I’ll be picking mine up at the midnight release at gamestop, they give out cool prizes at my gamestop and also have tournaments you can compete in. I think they will have a halo 4 tourney at the midnight release of halo 5.
I pre-ordered the LCE. I am wicked happy about it coming out a week early but I am rather sad I wont be getting it at a midnight release because there is no way my local GS will do two of them for one game.
After TMCC I have learned my lesson to wait at least a week after launch to make sure the game is functioning properly with very few bugs. They already announced BTB wont launch with H5 but will be “coming soon”. That could be 6-7 months later.
So yes I will wait and watch the community feedback along with the reviews to see how well it launches.
I don’t own an Xbox One and don’t plan on it, so unfortunately my answer is “Never.”

I pre-ordered it ages ago (when it first opened up to pre-order), however I might hold off. Two reasons: Fallout 4 and I want to give Halo 5 a couple months to iron out the launch wrinkles.
