On one hand, I’m glad we finally have heard something, it’s definitely making me think about halo again. But at the moment I’m not very excited because as far as I’m concerned I have no reason to be. It was just a trailer saying the art style is going back to it’s roots and that we have new engine.
There are no game play details, story info, release window, etc. And until we get them I feel like not much has changed and I’m still just going be waiting for a game I know little to nothing about. I understand good things take time and that most people are very excited about the future, but at the moment I’m just tired of waiting.
I know I’m sounding super pessimistic right now, but am curious when will we hear more about the game and if we can at least get an idea when we’ll get more details. But until then…I’m just going to go back to doing whatever.

I kinda feel the same way as you and I really don’t want to be the pessimist here but judging from 343’s statement that infinite is still in early development and the fact that some very important jobs on this project are still vacant (as seen on 343’s new website) as of now I’m afraid we won’t hear/see anything from the game for quite some time…
I really hope I’m wrong though.

that being said, I agree with your post. It’s important we stay skeptical and don’t fall for the marketing hype/tactics that were used in Halo 5. Also, remember 343i has not made a 10/10 AAA Halo game, ever. Based on their track record, we should not get too excited. For me, this franchise is basically dead but I will admit I’m hyped to see if they can turn things around.
I want to say the next major gaming event, but a lot of the statements from 343 about the game have somewhat indicated that it won’t be for another while. Hopefully I’m wrong though.
Maybe it’s called Halo Infinite because developing the game will take an infinite amount of time har har har
