3 matches lost today already, all because of the promethians. Because of stupid mission requirements. “Protect the generators” but they spawn the enemy there before us. So even before we get one person to arrive, one generator is dead. The promethians are terrible, uncreative foes. There are tons of posts about this and no one at 343 can read. When are they fixing firefight? Have they said anything?
No timeline yet, but its in the works.
You just have to know that there are certain weapons that work well against promethians and weapons that work well against the covenant.once you figure that out its easy to get the job done

At least share us which weapons you think they work on them

They said in an update that they’re already looking at the feedback with regards to changes I think. No dates given yet though.
Here you go:
> As we speak, teams are looking at all of the data and feedback you’ve generated so far, and evaluating as they work towards future updates for the mode. While we don’t have a final ETA just yet, you can rest assured that work is well underway, and that you’ll be hearing about more details soon.
They need to fix it quick! I enjoy this game type and Halo as a whole. But after a couple more losses in a row last night and the plethora I’ve already had since it’s release, I just can’t continue to play it until it’s fixed.

I believe that covie weapons work nicely against Prometheans and promethean weapons work best against Covies. Not sure how true it is, but I tend to do pretty well playing that way.

Really? Losing matches affects you that badly? You may need professional help. But seriously, having a competent teams helps tremendously.
So basically, “make the game easier because I can’t win every game I play”.
What is the point of playing if you can win almost every time?
343, has a monthly cycle thing going on. So end of this month maybe.
Suppressors work good against Prometheans.
At first I thought it was a little too difficult, but yes, a good team helps big time. But you should pick up on what works good vs. which enemies after a few games. And realize that you have to be strategic, and not just run right back into every battle. News flash, you are going to lose games, just the way it is. Learn from the games, and especially the losses.

No, I don’t mind losing as it is inevitable. It’s how and/or why the games are lost. Excessive/overpowered infantry, to many bosses without adequate time to defeat them and spawn timers…ect. Just to name a couple things. I think it’s safe to say that unless you have enough friends playing, it’s difficult to consistently find a competent team.
with the defend armory modes, grab a suppressor, they do MAJOR work on soldiers. The high ammo capacity is definitely a help as well. You do not have to be “at the core” to defend it. Just as long as you are shooting at the enemies, they will shoot at you instead of the core (most of the time). You will die, multiple times as will your teammates. Just keep pushing and eventually you will win a round or two. Again, it is meant to be very difficult and a challenge

Not at all! I don’t want or need to win every game and I don’t want them to make it easier. I like the challenge, but I would like to feel like wins are possible. Some of these games are impossible.
If we are going to talk about things to fix how about actually make Firefight??? This is just Warzone PVE not Firefight.
Firefight should be; more of a custom game set up to be played with friends, not forced into matchmaking with 100% no player input to the game itself. Picking what skulls you want to use, starting difficulty, picking maps, and so on are what this game type (and other games wave based modes) are about. Not being forced into the same stuff as normal Warzone but no human enemies.

That’s not at all what he is saying, and that’s not the issue. Even if his primary concern was “did I win or did I lose?” - average WZ win rates settle at 50% (as they should overall), so shouldn’t WZFF sit at 50%? Or a little higher, considering its PvE?
Aside from winning/losing, there are some other serious gameplay issues. There are some things that obviously need to be tweaked. Not just in WZFF either.
My personal choice is that I’m not playing WZFF until tweaks are made. It’s not an enjoyable experience at the moment IMO.
I’d guess another month or two before any changes are made. They haven’t sent out a survey yet for FF feedback so don’t expect any changes soon until that happens.
For the generator missions, you want to take out the splinter turret commanders as soon as possible.

Razor’s Edge completely demolishes Prometheans. Remember to Smart-Scope and engage at mid-range. Try and keep your firing towards the chest on soldiers, the supercombine is an insta kill.
I honestly find those defend the generator missions the easiest. Pop a ghost kill everything, and then just unload with load out guns, work every time.

I think it usually tends to work the other way around. Promethean weapons, the Suppressor in particular, absolutely destroy their armor, leaving them more vulnerable. Plasma-based Covenant weaponry is devastating towards energy shields.
