When are they doing playlist updates?

All I keep hearing about is this title update with like 3 little changes. When is 343i going to start updating playlists like Jeramiah did every month? Why is team slayer the only list with comnunity maps? I mean, they’re not that great anyway, but I feel SWAT and Multi Team are getting neglected. They also need to fix the damn Skullamanjaro on the multi/big team variant of Headhunter and drop the armor lock loadout.

They have many other things to do like Halo 4, Halo CEA and the Reach TU. So they’ll need more time for new playlist updates.

It really can’t take up that much time. Just little tweaks in the custom game options once a month?

LOL. Jeremiah needed 1 month for updating playlists. 343i does now make a TU. I think they’ll do some updates after they’re finished with the TU.

343 said (in Halo Fest) that the title update will occur early in October. In fact this is what they will change: (It’s official one of their administrators wrote it)

" The Halo: Reach Title Update will add more options and flexibility to Halo: Reach’s Multiplayer. It will roll out in late September and gives 343 designers the following levers to create game variants in Matchmaking playlists. Of course while all of these features can be enabled via Matchmaking playlists, players should remember that ‘normal’ Reach gameplay can and will continue untouched in its own Matchmaking playlists. The features and elements listed here are tools available to us and will be used and implemented appropriately.

News on the timing of the Title Update release will be revealed at the Halo: Anniversary panel at 10 am on the 26th of August during Halo Fest.

Specifics:

Make damage bleed to health through shields possible.

Make reticle bloom configurable.

Modify Armor Lock.
• Sticky grenade will not be nullified if you use Armor Lock after being stuck.
• Damage received while in Armor Lock is transferred to remaining Armor Ability energy.
• How much the damage depletes your Armor Lock energy is configurable.

Modify Active Camo.
• Reduce the bonus time the player gets in Active Camo while standing still.
• Reduce the overall length of time the player can be in Active Camo.

Remove Sword block.
• Disable the ability to block Sword attacks using melee with anything other than another Sword.

Implement the classic Magnum from Halo: CE.

Enable playing Co-Op Campaign and Firefight without requiring a HDD."

As for the other playlist updates that Bungie did every month i don’t have a clue what 343 is planning to do.

Terrific. What about fixing the 5 minute black screens that constantly occur when people quit? What about closing up hiding places in Firefight? What about fixing the medals that are unattainable for no freakin reason?

Well, i agree about the hiding places in Firefight. My opinion is that they are not so many as the only ones that come to my mind right now are the Glacier’s, as well as Holdout and Beachead. I prefer though to close the hiding spots in Living Dead which are really annoying and -Yoink!- for the zombies. For the 5 minute black screen i will not blame 343 now as the current system is Bungie’s. As for the medals, if you mean Skullamanjaro i prefer not getting the medal rather than winning the game with an easy 10 skulls medal. After 5-6 minutes the map is filled with 30 skulls or so…It’s not fair to win so easy…Either give the medal and not win the match, or change the medal to 15 skulls. If you are talking about the Mmmm Brains and the Thriller medal then you 're absolutely right!

Don’t forget about Unfrigginbelievable, Skyjacker, etc in Firefight. As for the Skullamnjaro, they should run the match to 100 and make Skullamanjaro count for like 20/25. They should also make it so your sprees continue between campaign missions so you don’t have to camp 12 hours to get an Unfrigginbelievable in that. Firefight has hiding places on every map except Corvette. The “attic” on Courtyard, The hole in the rocks on Beeachhead, The Banshee hanger under Holdout, the 4 spots on Glacier, 3 or 4 spots on Overlook, etc.
