Doesn’t happen often but funny when it does
Mm-mm, good old Halo etiquette in work. Happens every now and then in HCS/Team Arena, usually most quit right after the first quitter because it doesn’t cause additional penalties beside the loss. Sometimes though there is a player or two who don’t quit and then it’s just t-bagging together waiting for the match to finish.
New players are not aware of this most of the time but some do have the situational awarness to see that they’re alone and the opponents aren’t attacking so they join the chilling. The ones that don’t get it then unfortunately get ganked.
I remember one time in Reach when in BTB snipers on Boneyard 5/8 player from the enemies quit and eventually about same number from my team also quit. The rest of us who stayed in the game just chilled and screwed aroung with Mongeese. Another time in Slayer on Sword Base 3/4 opposing players quit and my team and me just chilled and t-bagged at the yellow lift room. When the last enemy player came around and found us we just t-bagged at him but appearantly he didn’t understand the situation and tried to attack. We just destroyed him and t-bagged him and resumed our screwing around in the lift room. He would come around time and time againg trying to attack only to get ganked and bagged again and again. Good times…
Very good stuff, lol, wish more players in the community had a sense of humor like this.
Lol ya that’s never happened to me. When my team quits and it’s just me, we still try to kill each other (assuming I don’t leave myself because I know I already lost anyways). Sucks I can’t quit out of those matches due to the banhammer. Sometimes I just go AFK, turn on my other TV (I play Xbone on my monitor), and watch something on youtube real quick until the match is over or something.
I’ve seen this happen quite a few times over the years. Teams that are either getting slaughtered or simply have less teammates due to quitting. Can’t say I have recorded clips of it, but I’ve even been invited to the party of the other team while we waited for the timer to finish because my teammates had quit out.
I remember watching Ninja’s stream back in Reach and everyone quit on the opposing team except for one person. Ninja’s team was sending him messages asking him to quit and he responded saying he would if he could get an overkill on them. So Ninja and company lined up together and the guy threw a couple stickies to get it and then he quit. It was more entertaining watching it than it sounds reading it.

It’s ok. I one time got my entire squad I played with in Halo 2 to shoot for 5 straight minutes at a light on Headlong because I said it the fabled Golden Warthog would drop from the sky. But that, too, was more entertaining to watch lol

I miss this sort of thing in halo 2 and halo 3 happened a lot

Yeah, I had an overkill on his team, I can link that clip too if you want. I also found this clip from somebody else, but it isn’t the same.
