Will they have the stink fumes green gas sword too? Halo stopping being Rated M is really where it all went downhill. I was kind of hoping for a Halo 4 type Infection armor core

He did mention that as a concern. He does at the very least want his name attached to it forever but still allow people to make their own custom games in it.

Pretty ironic, considering the Halo TV show featured Master Cheeks. The game should have stayed M. They can kill off all the Spartans on the Infinity, but only if it happens off screen. They can show a man getting electrocuted, but they can’t show one drop of blood. 343 made Halo soft.

I don’t think we’ll have green zombies, for one: the outline system exists now. I also don’t think that the reason we won’t see Halo 4 esque models for the infected is because they banned blood. Methinks you’re slightly overreacting. We could very well see zombified infected, just no blood. Because remember, the campaign had an entire room full of corpses and Halo 5 still allowed the utterly brutal assassinations.

As for Halo being M, from what I’ve seen, most people agree that the game is hardly M rated. As evidenced by Infinite, the cursing and blood was what pushed it over the edge. Reach and 5 share many brutal things (assassinations, killing civilians, etc.), but Halo 5 tones back the blood and swearing. And unlike a game like DOOM, Halo gets off fine without them.

I don’t think it’s a rating issue but money once again. It’s just cheaper for 343 to paint some armor than make mode exclusive 3D models and colour them.

My guy a map got deleted for too much blood and gore but if you look at the map the gore in question is just two scenes of “decapitation” using the body models and phase mode and changing a bit of terrain red it’s most certainly a rating issue as the forge lead brought up the t rating guidelines and said the map broke these guidelines

343 really just needs to take another L and change the rating to M with the next DLC campaign, to match MCC. Bonnie Ross is gone. Patch her mistakes.

The T rating for Halo should never have been a thing, it’s a War Sci-Fi 1st Person Shooter with details of War with a Life consuming Parasite known for its Body Mutilation & Horror scenes

Thankgod the Deadspace Remake comes out next week

It was a war torn map and the brutes are known for their brutality which is why their weapons go for a more savage tactic

And we’ve seen a brute trying to smash a odst’s chest in with a gravity hammer

The banished is lead by a brute so of course the map would look something along those lines if you wanted to be more accurate(although its also innacurate for the dead brute in a pile of blue blood) with a banished war torn map that has the corpses around

The only thing that could be considered objectable is the decapitated bodies which is hilarious if you think that looks more brutal than the freaking mangled elite body

Unnecessary? Like what?
Blood? Was fine in Bungie games
Marines/Spartans pinned by Skewers? That’s how they work
Impaled by Energy swords? Remember Reach
Crushed by Hammers? Brutes do that
Decapitated? Not any worse than blowing a crater in Keyes’s face after he got infected by Flood, or any Marine suicides on top of that
Halo should have stayed Rated M

Guess we can only make T rated Flood themed maps, can’t add biomass or bodies or otherwise it goes past the T rating

Well, they’ve got to draw the line somewhere. Without any moderation of content then some really inappropriate stuff would start plaguing us.

It’s unfortunate, but makes sense that they would try to keep things in line with the rating on the box.

I find it ridiculous how they just delete the map & ban the person, if it was reported, they should review the map & message the creator & say “hey we reviewed your map & contains some imagery that might not be appropriate for some people are you able to make minor changes or a graphical warning for those not comfortable with it” it’ll be a better approach, & if it contained actual offensive imagery then delete the map & give the maker a warning or a ban

I’ve seen worse maps & prefabs made that are indeed offensive in Halo 5 but the measure being taken for war scenes a bit overboard personally
