With the recent change I’m running into the situation as a driver where I’m receiving an Assist for a kill my gunner got, but not a Wheelman. Can anyone else confirm this? And if it is the case can anyone identify the criteria for when this happens?
After reviewing footage it appears that the driver doesn’t receive the Wheelman if they first damage the Spartan with the vehicle. Instead they award the Assist medal.
343i, as annoying as it was to not have assists on the leaderboard, loosing out on a medal is rage inducing. For the love of driving Warthogs, please fix this.

Correction: An Assist medal is given, instead of a Wheelman, when your gunner is not the first one to hit the enemy Spartan. Thus far I estimate this bug to be preventing 30-50% of Wheelmans that should have been given.
343, you won’t be retroactively counting these if this bug is ever fixed. So if it will be fixed, please make it soon.
