Wheelman Mod Question

Does anyone know, for the specifically the Mongoose… does a passenger with the Wheelman mod benefit the Mongoose?

I think I read somewhere that passenger and hog gunners improve Warthogs when they use the Wheelman, but I hadn’t seen anything talking about the Mongoose passenger.

Please and Thank you!

Where is Halo Mythbusters when you need them!

I don’t know, but I have similar questions. I’d assume Wheelman must be active for the driver only.

I dont think it really helps at all, no matter what vehicle I am on, its like they are made of glass.

Tell that to the guy who shot my Wraith three times with a laser before I killed him.

Really?! I use it all the time when in BTB. I get into a banshee, one laser, done.
I get into a tank, two Gauss shots, done.
I drive the Gauss hog, two sniper shots, done.

My favorite though, is the mystery weapon that comes out of nowhere and blow us up. Seriously, this is one thing I have issue with, the phantom deaths that occur in this game, i will even go back and watch films and still cant find out why I died.

Hog’s are pretty much worthless unless you have two of them rolling at the same time. Glassy glass!

I was always under the impression that the Wheelman Armor Modification was only applied if you were driving. I’d love to know if it would work as a passenger too. I might try of that specialization next then.

=d

yeah, I think there’s something with glancing blows on weapons. I did take 3 laser shots, but they didn’t feel like direct shots. More like he “winged me”.

As to a mystery weapon…

I don’t know for sure, but I think a severely damaged vehicle eventually self destructs. That would actually explain how my wraith ended up blowing up.

I need to get back into checking the film on a lot of these things, just haven’t had the time to.

I know David Ellis said in an interview BEFORE the game was released that they don’t stack from multiple users.

Not sure that’s still the case. Unless you’re talking about 2 HOGS, and not two mods and I just misunderstood you.

From what I understand it does not increase the health or durability of your vehicle. Vehicles have stages of health like the spartans in Reach. When not getting shot your vehicle will gain health back to the next highest level. Wheelman mod increases rate at which your vehicle gains back health. Also it decreases the effects of an emp and makes your vehicle slightly harder to board.

Thanks for the explanation, It should be the other way around. Wheelman makes the vehicle harder to destroy, or atleast they should have given an health bar to the vehicle.

Wheelman makes the vehicle harder to destroy. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like my Warthog can power slide better when I’ve got Wheelman on.

I definitely agree with health bars, like in Halo 1. More information to the player seem like a good idea.
