Well after some long and difficult matches, I finally placed in Platinum 1, going to try to reach Onyx. I won 6 matches but lost 4. I can see my mistakes so far though, after I push I forget to attack. What rank did you guys make?
in solo I was put in diamond 1, with 9-1 in placement matches, I feel like you have to do horribly to get put in silver or bronze or even gold, I think most people are in platinum, diamond or onyx
although maybe im wrong, if anyone was put in gold or lower lmk
I am not so quite familiar with Halo in general so I have to ask: Are these ranks the same as in Halo 5? So there will be only 200 players worldwide ranked “Champion”?
What is btw the average Rank? Is it a normal distribution located around gold?
I am Plat 5, won 8 of 10 in pre-rank matches and all added 14 wins of 18 matches, where BTW the 4 losses were against the same couple. LEON der KILLA… I am coming for you! =D
Currently at platinum 2 in 2v2, won 7/10. Can’t see myself wanting to push for a higher rank really unless there’s some kind of reward. Would love maybe an experience bonus per week or maybe even per game like add on 100 or so.

I think the other parameters are just who you played against. It seems the matchmaking was based off Social CSR Team or Solo. I have done placements in Solo and 2v2 war. I placed Diamond 1 in Solo going 7-3 and Diamond 3 32 in 2v2 going 10-0. My friend who played 2v2 also got placed Diamond 3 level 32. He was lower mmr than me because he constantly lagged out early on and I played a couple without him and won.
All this to say that I think who you play against is based off your hidden social CSR and your placements are based off the skill of oppenent you beat.
SIDE NOT DO NOT RESIGN AS YOU WILL LOSE A 60 CSR. It was actually againt Blaky lost first game and resigned lost 60 and then second game I let the game end and only lost around 14. My 2v2 partner and I also noticed this on our only loss in 2’s.

I think it might be based on the ranking of the people you play against, this seems probable, in both placement matches and afterwards

Won 9/10 placement matches, and wound up in Diamond 4 at 60% completion. Hoping to be in Onyx by the end of the week.

Not going to lie, I do need some tips, is the cloaking generator weak? Because it made beating this one guy very difficult. I just could not hit his army even with scouts.
9/10 in solo ranking, this one dude royally wrecked me. Got placed at Diamond 4 with 60%. Haven’t lost another game and reached onyx. It took me 18 games including the 10 placement matches.
Daimond 5 1v1 dm, my internet are very slow and the last day i fight versus top 10 players of hw1 and hw2. very hard for me.

yeah its the same as halo 5 but I think the champion rank might be less than the top 200 in a playlist since this game doesn’t have as many players as halo 5, might be top 100 or 50, just gotta wait and find out. i think the normal rank in general is anywhere from gold 5 to plat 2 but I’m not sure. i would assume in the next community update ske7tch will give us some data on how ranked is going.

Maybe the ranks of the opponents you faced is factored in?

I’m Gold14%. I went 1-9 in my 3v3 placement matches. I thought I was gonna get put into the lowest league, but I guess they take your score into account. I was better than all of they guys that beat me except for 2.
It’s annoying seeing your teammates do nothing for 15 minutes while you have a max tech army and the intuition to know that ALL 3 enemy players will come for YOU and not your teammates. 1 game I got double Marine rushed at 6 minutes while my teammates had specks of dirt as an army.

Dont play with randomZZZ. Why you dont look for real teammates…
Update I finally made it to Platinum 4 after being stuck on Platinum 2.
