Seeing as how I never see anyone with it I am wondering what the general idea of the community is towards this misguided AA. So I would like to know why you do or do not like this, please try to explain it in detail I would like to know more than just “It Sucks” or “It is bad and so is anyone who uses it”
It’s the worst AA. I thought there was pretty universal consensus on that fact.
I think the obvious ways to use it are for defense in Dominion, Oddball, and KOTH (Outside of the hill).
But actually, I played Team Regicide yesterday, and the opposing team surrounded their king with ATs.
It actually worked. 3-4 ATs with Rifle fire took me and my team out quick.
By far, my favorite thing to do in any vehicle
You really have to know when to drop it. And the benefit is marginal.
Enemy rounding a corner? Time it so that when he comes around, he’s staring down your barrel and the turret’s barrel. At that point his only viable choice is to flee. If he stands and fights you shot for shot, he’ll lose. If he tries to destroy the turret on the spot, he’ll lose. His only option is to flee and either outlast the turret or destroy it. In all likelihood you’ll get a fee shots and can follow him or grenade his retreating route either for a kill or to prevent him from doing so.
Other than that, flank an objective while your teamates pull enemy attention and then drop it. Or use it to guard an objective.

But I would like a reason as to why you think this my good sir.
I only just started using it, because hologram is my baby. But I kind of like it. It’s really useful on maps like Solace. You can spawn one on the sniper perch to harass enemies on pretty much the entire map, and if you watch where it’s firing out of the corner of you eye it’s great at giving away enemy positions.
Maybe if you have a few people using it on your team, but by itself it’s pretty useless you just avoid it or put 3 dmr shots into it and it’s dead. Honestly, there’s alot more useful AAs that increase survivability more than the turret.
Never really seen it used well in MM but it’s invaluable in campaign.

Made Legendary so much easier. I didn’t realize about its greatness until the end though.
Actually, I forgot it existed until now, I was expecting a ground mounted turret like in tf2 that would fire weaker machine gun rounds… honestly, I prefer it in spartan ops (the covies love shooting at the nearest shiny thing) and running for cover and then coming from behind, but I wish it either had a much quicker recharge time or its shots were a lot more powerful… I mean, this thing would help grunts, not spartans…
Oh you mean Sweetness?
I love Sweetness, she draws the enemy fire, points out the enemies position, helps me protect the flag on CTF and helps protect the base on Dominion.
I even take Sweetness into Infinity Slayer now, deploy next to the lift on Abandon or the top of Haven for great results. I suggest combing Sweetness with Pulse grenades to make quick work of enemy teams who like to run together.
I love it in objective games. Its helped me defend bases and flags so many times. I love to run into a base and drop it while Im capturing and If I see someone defending a base by themselves Ill run in and drop it to help them defend. A lot of people think its weak but even if it only lands 1 or 2 shots on a player it weakens them from being 5 shot to 3 or 4 shot which is a big advantage. Its really funny when I drop it on a base my team is defending so I can go capture another base and it gets me a kill or nabs me a bunch of assists.
I put it above Thruster Pack.
Here me out on this, I just seen Thruster Pack mainly used defensively so I’m not a fan of it. I’m actually hoping it’ll get more “UMPH” to it in the future.
Auto Sentry has its uses and can be a annoyance for other players. Its more useful in the Campaign and Spartan OPS.
well, first and foremost, it is spelled and pronounced “TURRET” not “TORRENT” or “TURRENT”
Secondly I never see anyone use it, and for good reason. It sucks. It has such low health, it has a huge time span between shots, it takes 9 shots to get a kill and its energy is used up even when sitting idle.
Not to mention getting in a vehicle and picking up a detached turret destroys it instantly, depleting all of its energy.
also holding the AA button in for too long accidentally can make it detonate and deplete itself.
all in all, its worthless. Just like Regen Field and Thruster Pack.

Agh, critical error on your part, It’s like another player, most useful for helping take down knights shields so you don’t spend a clip on each one and run out of ammo.
By far the most useful for solo legendary.
It would be nice if you could toggle for the TURRET could be toggled to follow you.
Anyone agree?
I use it all the time, it works well for defense, I use it when I’m defending the flag or when I’m defending a base in Dominion.
Offensively it’s not very effective, but it can still provide those one to two extra shots that will help take down an enemy’s shield therefore helping you win a shootout.
I like it.
Yep, useful for defense games (KOTH)…otherwise absolutely pointless.

No it would be op if it followed you. As is it has the ability to make enemies 3 or 4 shot which is a big advantage in a 1v1 situation. Having it follow you would mean you would always have the advantage over other players unless they teamed up against you.
