Whats your opinion about WZFF, difficulty wise?

First, sorry for the long post, but I like to explain myself thoroughly.

During the BETA, WZFF was too easy, enjoyable, but easy.

At launch, it was way too hard (maybe because it was released when H5 was free for everyone for like 2 weeks so there was a lot of people without reqs playing), but as time passed by, we got the hang of it, and the difficulty seems right, like, it is supposed to be Legendary level.

With this new update, two more modes were introduced (Heroic and Mythic) and the one we already had was renamed (Legendary). Since I love fighting AI (not much of an Arena player here), I’ve played all of those modes, and I have 3 major complaints, spawns, no hijackable vehicles and THE DAMN TIMER INCREASE. But before you say something, let me explain.

Heroic WZFF seems fine, it evens seems easy for most of use, but still, it’s Heroic level, that’s how it’s meant to be. From my experience the AI behave just like Heroic AI in the Campaing.

Legendary WZFF continues to be the same, challenging, but not impossible. Nevertheless, you NEED to use reqs, you can’t win if your whole team only uses loadouts, but that’s fine, that’s how it’s meant to be.

Mythic WZFF is a big challenge, you can’t mess around there. I think enemies health is the same as Legendary, or just a little bit more, but not that noticable, but their damage output is INSANE, but that’s fine to, it is supposed to be the hardest of them all. Still you get frustrated when a Boss Banshee ONE SHOTS your PERFECT HEALTH Wraith (No scratches or torn off parts) with ONE Fuel Rod Shot, ok, that happened to me, I think it’s unfair (I would mind if it was 2 Shot, but ONE, damn), but I can live with it (Wraiths are not match for Banshees). It’s worse when your health doesn’t regenerates because you have to melee enemies, but who is crazy enough to go melee an enemy that can one hit melee you, but that’s fine too, ok, it’s Mythic after all, so I don’t mind.

But then, the damn timer… MAN, it’s way too long in the last round, WAAAAY to long (All 3 WZFF), in Heroic I don’t mind, that thing is easy. In Legendary I hate it, 'cause it can be the difference between winning or loosing. In Mythic… hate falls short for what I feel for that DAMN timer in the last round of a Mythic fight… it’s a hell of a punishment. Like maaaan, come one, I cannot regen my health, enemies kill me like if I was made of paper, and then I have to wait for 30 to be killed again in 5 seconds to wait again for 30 seconds to be killed again in… well, you get the picture.

The timer (mixed with the far away spawn) discourages people to use reqs in the last round, because by the time you reach your destination, either your team already killed the last boss or you don’t have enough time to use your req and you loose. Second, it’s a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG walk from where you spawn to where you have to be. My last match on Apex 7, last round with the Phantom and the Wraith after it, I died almost before killing the Phantom. During my 30 seconds of waiting, I saw how my team lowered its health. I decide to spawn a Mantis, when I spawn, I spawn IN THE OTHER BASE, ACROSS THE MAP, and in that moment my team kills the Phantom. During my 45 second walk with the Mantis to the other beach my team annihilated the Wraith, and when I got there, they landed the last shot. So I couldn’t even use my req because of the DAMN SPAWN, when I thought I would have had time to get there and at least kill the Wraith.

So in the end, but the timer and the far as hell spawns are detrimental to WZFF, they discourage using reqs, the are way too much of a punishment, they can make you lose your game entirely, they don’t contribute to the difficult, they just make you unable to play (think about it, 30 seconds of waiting + 45 seconds of walking there = more than a minute in which I was useless for my team).

Solution: 1st round = 5 second timer, 2nd and 3rd round = 10 second timer, 4th and 5th round = 15 second timer, including spawns closer to the objective
2nd Solution: 10 second timer for ALL ROUNDS, the increase in difficulty is enough, you don’t have to make us wait without doing anything, including spawns closer to the objective

Lastly, vehicles. Ok, I get it, you are NOT supposed to hijack BOSS VEHICLES, that’s understandable, I get it, I’m not complaining about those. I complaining about regular enemy vehicles. It is completely unfair that I cannot hijack and AI vehicle but they can hijack mind, and they even kill me when they do so, but when I do it I only lower their shields. Fine, leave the bosses as they are, but at least let us hijack non-bosses (I am aware you can re-hijack a vehicle from an enemy that stole it from you, but you can’t hijack regular Ghost, Banshee or Phaetons).

Solution: Allowing only regular non objective non bosses vehicles to be hijackable (example: if the objective is Kill 25 Ghost, you cannot hijack them, they are not bosses, but since they are the objective, you shouldn’t hijack 'em). Still, last round of Apex 7, with the Grunt Goblin and then the two Hunters, you should be able to hijack the Soldier controlled regular and ultra Ghosts, because they are regular enemies, and they are not the objective.

With this changes, WZFF would still be challenging, but not as punishable as it is right not. Now, when things like that happen, is frustrating, is infuriating, it makes you want to quit the game, and that’s no good. So please, please, 343i, think about it.

Disclaimer: I’m hispanic, sorry if there is a coherence or grammar error. My native language is spanish, not english.

The difficulty really depends on how many reqs the team is able to call in. But I don’t think anybody likes the respawn timer the way it is

The long respawn timer is HELLA lame. it should be individual based. add time as an individual dies. so if you have a long respawn time it’s due to you dying a lot

This could encourage people to use their REQs too. That way they’re less likely to die. On the other hand it might just encourage more hiding and shooting a BR from a distance.
