As someone who’s genuinly enjoying this game despite a few things (i.e. progression system), I wouldn’t mind a positive discussion on here.
What loadout are you taking out on the field and why?
Personally, I’m using:
I’m a fan of speed and knowledge. I like knowing where my enemies are at at all times and being able to take them out quickly!
Light Rifle + DMR + Ammo
Two most powerful primaries and overclocked ammo reserves for maximum k/d ratio.
BR - AR - Pulse - Pro Vision - Firepower - and ugh well I forget, not near my Xbox.
BR, DMR, Plasma, Fire Power, Ammo and, Dexterity. I like being able to have two primary weapons in my loadout so I can I can adjust accordingly to the map. Ammo and Dexterity so I reload faster and don’t have to move so much to resupply. Plasma because I love sticking people and vehicles alike. You guessed it, I’m a Camper. I also use resupply from time to time but only if I’m looking to use a lot of nades. I still haven’t gotten one down that I like, I’m still pretty much mixing and matching but that’s me for me now 
BR / Boltshot / Frag / Thruster Pack / Dexterity / Shielding is my current primary.
BR because in team environments it’s a lot easier to get headshots on weakened enemies. Boltshot I’m experimenting with. Frag because I haven’t unlocked Pulse yet. Thruster pack I just love. I’m rarely killed by grenades and it’s nice to be able to quickly dodge a diving Banshee or duck behind cover when a sniper’s looking at you.

You can’t have ammo and dexterity at the same time.
I’ve got a loadout variant for each primary precision gun, but I’m usually using X Rifle + Boltshot + Frags + Hardlight Shield + Ammo + Resupply. For me it’s a good loadout for surviving and still be able to slay. Shield for quick protection when next to cover and about to die, Ammo and Resupply to allow for more damage output, then Boltshot to get those people using shotguns/swords around corners or when being chased.

Good to see people are actually using the thrusterpack! I’m tempted to try it out myself but all the complaints about it has made me spend my spartan points elsewhere.

The DMR is over powered. Low kick when in scope and you get hit, faster fire rate than any other precision weapon, basically no bloom, extremely far range for aim assist…its a -Yoinking!- a noob weapon. I stick with the BR or Light Rifle, -Yoink- anyone who uses the DMR

Settle down, buddy. The DMR is 0.2 seconds faster at killing than its competitors which isn’t a huge deal but it will be patched. I generally use Battle rifle but have been using the DMR more recently because of its effectiveness. Doesn’t break the game for me because previous Halo’s generally had one accurate firearm that everyone used anyway; this doesn’t seem any different.
