What's Your Halo 4 K/D ?

In Halo, it appears that the average K/D gets higher and higer with each game - this is due to there being less of a skill gap of course.

In Halo 3, maybe you had less than 1.0 K/D, you needed to improve, 1.0 - 1.20 was acceptable, 1.20 - 1.50 was good, and higher than that was great / pro

With Reach, it was more like under 1.20 needed improvement, 1.20 - 1.40 was acceptable, 1.40 - 1.60 was good and any higher was great/ pro, and it appears that with Halo 4, it’s even easier, so people have even higher K/D’s.

The point of this post is to find out what the K/D acceptable, bad, and pro would be for Halo 4, in the way of seeing your K/D’s.
What I want you to do is. . .

Halo 3 K/D (optional) :
Halo Reach K/D :
Halo 4 K/D :

Post your K/D for each game.

Of course I don’t have my K/D’s as this is a new gamer tag, and I don’t have H4 yet.

**EDIT 1:

This is a post meant for people who want to see how their K/D’s size up on average

So far I’m seeing that K/D have on average been rising, but there are also many people who rose in reach, then dropped in H4. and vice-versa

Keep it up guys.

What I’ve mustered up so far. . .

Anything much 1.3 definitely needs improvement

( 1.3 falls below average in comparison, but it would be absurd to say it isn’t good, so I’ll say this is acceptable)

1.3 - 1.5 is acceptable

1.5 - 2.0 (2.1, maybe?) is good, anything higher is “pro”

You shouldn’t go for k/d. K/D is a stupid stat that only belongs in really fast arena shooters like COD (I love COD, never been a bad game). Halo is supposed to be a team game. Hopefully 343 has actually taken that route where Bungie has failed.

eg. Battlefield

K/D is a pointless waste of time.

Good day sir.

> Of course I don’t have my K/D’s as this is a new gamer tag, and I don’t have H4 yet.

You go first.

I also want an option in the poll about not caring.

Halo 3 K/D (optional) : No idea. It probably was sub 1.0 since I was terrible at 3 and pretty much only played infection.
Halo Reach K/D : .79, apparently. I thought it was lower than that to be honest.
Halo 4 K/D : 1.34, surprisingly. I seem to do a lot better with the DMR now than I did in Reach. And if that’s honestly just due to the lack of bloom I’m amazed at how much that affected my gameplay.

That said, since I only play team matches, typically big team, I could give a flying -Yoink- about my K/D so long as my team wins and I wasn’t detrimental to that win.

-.-

I find that most people who share this opinion feel they have bad K/D ratios. . .

What idiot actually CARES about k/d? Like you should try and impress strangers online so you look cool.

I don’t really give a stuff about k/d, but here goes.
3: around 1.1,
reach .83 (i -Yoinking!- hated that game),
4: 1.1

I know that none of those are considered good, i don’t care.

my K/D took a hit when I was mastering assassinations it should be going back up now

Alot of people care about K/D. It keeps you in check and obviously if you’re higher than 1 in a given game you’re bound to win. Personally I aim for 20+ kills 10- deaths each game.

> What idiot actually CARES about k/d? Like you should try and impress strangers online so you look cool.

sigh

If you don’t even care, why bother dude?

The K/D is a representation of how good you are as an individual player

What? It’s true. In Reach I did abysmally with the DMR and now I’m not nearly as bad with it. So either my aim got better for no apparent reason over 3 months of me not playing Reach or the fact that bloom is no longer here means I’m not nearly as bad of a shot as I figured.

I feel like K/D is pointless, it only really matters for slayer game variants, which is why I feel they need to have k/d’s be shown by playlist. If you want to know my k/d just check my service record, I have no idea what it is.

But yes, Halo 4 is much easier.

>1.59

If more people went for the objective and I wasn’t constantly alone, it’d probably be higher.

Reach: 1.26.
H4: 1.13

Halo 3 :

Ranked 1.30
Social 1.40

Halo Reach:

1.28 Overall
1.42 Slayer

Halo 4:

1.5 Overall
1.56 Slayer

Now that I look at them, I’ve been pretty consistent with my K/D’s throughout the Halo games. Meh, but it doesn’t matter to me until I can have a 50 in Halo 4 now that I missed out on the Halo 3 action.

After my splatter marathon my k/d drop a lot. But now I’m just trying to maintain a 1.3 k/d. With this true skill ranking its really challenging have to be on my best for every single game.

Halo 2: .80 but I messed around a lot then.
Halo 3: 1.00
Reach: 1.7
Halo 4: 1.3

Says the guy whose over all K/D is barely higher than mine and whose Slayer K/D is only .02 higher?

Yea okay.
