I’ve been wondering what peoples favourite piece of halo’s soundrack is.
Mine would have to be “Under Cover of Night” in Halo: CE.
Lately I’ve been listening to H3’s soundtrack quite a lot. My two favorite stand outs are “Behold a Pale Horse” and “One Final Effort”. If I had to choose between the two though, “One Final Effort” takes the cake. It encompasses a few of the tracks that inspired it and that piano gets me every time.
CE: Under Cover of Night (Reminds me every time of the Halo Legends short “Homecoming”. It was so good
2: Prologue (Starting up the original Xbox, and popping in Halo 2, and seeing the Microsoft logo while the electric guitar plays will always be a legendary feeling)
3: Roll Call (watching the cutscene of the pelicans going to the Ark and heading the drum line is the best thing)
ODST: Traffic Jam or Deference for Darkness (represents the to sides of the game VERY well)
Reach: Epilogue (no explanation needed)
“Cracked Legend” from Halo 2A 
‘Warthog Run’ from Halo 3. I understand that this may be a typical answer and there’s certainly some nostalgia backing my brain up on this decision but I adore this piece of music! The steady increase of different instruments with wind slowly becoming more and more intense, it still sends shivers down my spin.
Walking the streets in ODST had my favorite music playing.
Lone wolf and Immemorial from reach liked them for the longest time while waiting for reach game night
H2 Annivarasy: Breaking The COveneant
H3: Final Warthog Run
H4: Cortana’s death
H1: under cover at night
Halo Infinite: ?
It’s either Halo CE’s where there’s the sort of monk chant or Halo 3’s one final effort. Though I do like Halo 3 ODST’s music to.
Literally take any piece of music from any halo game and it is an absolute marvel. I even listen it Halo music when I play other games because it’s just that good of a soundtrack. But if I were to nail it down to just one, it has to be Long Night of Solace from the Halo Reach soundtrack. Just so good, and it, in my opinion gives the perfect display of how the game in front of you is about to play out. From the ominous, yet curious beginning of the track. To the fast paced high octane beat that comes in later in the track. To the dark, cold section near the middle. Ah, an absolute masterpiece this one is.
117 and Arrival from Halo 4 and Finish the Fight from Halo 3 are my top favorites. It would be so hard to choose from those!

Halo 2 main theme, the classic echo with a sick guitar.
Oh man its going to be hard for me to pick a single one. All the Martin O’Donnell music from the Bungie Halos are all my favorites but here recently iv’e really like High Charity Suite on the Halo 2 OST, It really fits the feel of the main ancient convent city. I’m looking forward to how Halo Infinite will sound.

Going to echo that; I have never and will never play music/podcasts during the start of The Truth and Reconciliation because of that song alone.
I’ve been sitting here lying to myself that it’s be impossible for me to choose a favorite. But the reality is that every time I see this thread, the only answer that pops into my head is Under Cover of Night.
