Mark V Zeta and Mark VI for me.

I just hate the Yoroi core, it doesn’t fit into the Halo asthetic and looks so out of place.

Despite Mark VII being pretty default to its core, it is my favorite out if any they could release. It just looks clean with every coating.

How many of these must be purchased directly? How many of these are only purchasable on random days/weeks? How many of these can only be unlocked through an event that’s not going on right now?

I really want the Mark V Zeta. I just wish it wouldn’t take so long to progress in order to get it. I already got three rewards from the Tactical Ops events, and I just need two more to get the helmet. I’ve been playing the event still, but I still haven’t leveled up yet to earn more rewards.

ISR & Zvezda - Because it was worn by Spartan Sorel, a certified badass. Also it looks like Air Assault which was one of my favorite helmets from Reach which has my favorite art style for Mjolnir. Zvezda is just simply 343’s best EVA knockoff and I respect that.

Air Assault - Because they haven’t tried to sell me Operator for $20 yet. So AA wins by default.

Chonmage and Yokai - Chonmage looks like a Japanese take on H3’s EVA and it’s awesome. They even got the visor lines right. Yokai takes that whack Lotus helmet from H4-5 and turns it into an Oni mask, a Japanese demon. Get it? ONI. Demon. Spartans… that work for the Office of Naval Intelligence.

I believe the answer is all except 2.
1 being the default (which luckily looks great imo) and 1 being MkVII which you unlock after months of playing.
