My favorite Halo would have to be Halo 2 because it was cool how you played as the arbiter and saw as the brutes took over.
I personally like Halo Reach because it starts off the whole Halo Series before MC. It tells us how many sacrifices were made so chief would prosper
Campaign I would say Halo 3
Multiplayer I would say Halo 2

My favorite Halo is Halo 3. The ending paid homage to the original Halo:CE and just the way it ended was simply beautiful.

Halo ODST; It felt better killing the aliens as a human. That and its less depressing then most of the other Halos.
My next choice would be Halo 3.

Halo 2 because of the original gaming community and the massive scale it had.

Some of my best memories of playing hours of multiplayer, and also campaign with friends.
Halo 2 is a close second, but since I didn’t have Xbox Live back then, I only played local multiplayer, which was very different, but fun nonetheless. I spent a lot of time on Campaign on that game.
Probably Reach or ODST. In terms of MC games, I’d say 2 for story and 3 for gameplay fun-ness.
For me, it’s a tie between Reach and Halo 2. They are both fantastic.

I’d consider it more depressing. Whenever you play as The Rookie in those night sequences, the city seems so empty and solemn.

Reach broke the Canon. Spartan IIs sacrificed themselves for reach. 3s never set foot on it.
halo 5 but barely ahead of halo 4 in multiplayer. but i think either halo 2 or halo 3 have the best campaign.
