What's your favorite gaming franchise?

Hello everyone, and to make things interesting you can not pick Halo, you must pick your 2nd favorite gaming franchise!
So for me it has to be Assassins Creed, it’s the only game other then Halo where once I get on it I will not get off until I
complete the main story, like AC: Unity I completed that recently and it was amazing! =D

Hmm. I like Halo, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Assassin’s Creed (though I don’t really like its lore and storyline- or lack thereof), Age of Empires, and MS Flight Simulator.
Out of those, I’d say my favorite non-Halo franchise is probably Splinter Cell, though Assassin’s Creed is pretty good as well. The lore for AC just bores/irritates me, so Splinter Cell.

For me, my number one is halo, obviously. number two would have to be Gears of War. Number three would be Forza motorsport and number four would be Call of duty, I thought call of duty AW was a revival of the franchise from the downfall of cod:ghosts.

Used to be Mega Man, specifically Mega Man X, but since Capcom seems to have completely given up on the blue bomber, I’m going to have to go with Assassin’s Creed. Hell, it was the original AC that made me finally buy a 360 way back when.

Halo (LOL), Assassin’s Creed, Mortal Kombat, Pokémon (LEL), Grand Theft Auto… :v

Xenoblade Chronicles, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona.

I like Halo, but its not one of my favorite series.

Halo has always been and always will be my favourite. But I also really enjoy Assassin’s Creed and Mass Effect.

I have all the AC games (except Unity), but I’ve only ever bought one brand new. Besides CoD, that game is the definition of cash grab, and has an awful story.

Dead Space and BioShock are my favorites other than Halo.

Used to be real big into RollerCoaster Tycoon and Commander Keen, but I’m showing my age a little bit there…

I’m torn between the Diablo and Fallout franchise’s.

Gears of war easy phenomenal Story and game play. (Excluding judgment)

star wars, whether its knights of the old republic, old x-wing games, old republic online or any number of these games, im a huge star wars fan and theres allot of games that do the series justice, and almost as many that make me face palm.

One of My favorites titles is Jet Set Radio and Sonic with my old Dreamcast! Obviously Halo is the best for me.

  • Chronophantasma is my favourite game ever. Nuff said.

Metroid

  • Who doesn’t love a game where you’re on your own (at least in the majority of the games), searching for a way to advance while observing the beautiful environments and listening to beautiful music? (Fun fact: Before Halo 4 was released, I wanted it to have a little bit of metroidvania-like level design where the majority of the time is spent exploring, not fighting.)

  • I love the music. I love the simply but addicting scoring system. I love the challenge. I’m lovin’ it!

I love Assassin’s Creed, always fun to play but Halo definitely has the best storyline of any game in my opinion.

Considering Halo isn’t allowed, I’d say Crash, Mass Effect, Deus EX, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Max Payne.

Other than halo? Hmmmm I would probably say Legend of Zelda, and Assassin’s Creed.

Warhammer 40k.

  1. The people involved usually have a good handle of game mechanics and balance.
  2. I don’t think there’s any other video game IP which is so consistently FUN.

Elder Scrolls and Fable to be honest. Halo is one of my favorite shooter franchises though!
