What's your favorite game in the series

Since its release on November 15 2001 Halo has been everything from a smash hit to a massive online following. But what was your favorite game in the series? Personally I like Halo 4. The Didact gave me chills, literally. Although its too bad the way it ended it set the stage for halo infinite and kept us fighting. Do you think there will be another installment?

ODST mainly for the music.

It’s hard to pick any one game for me, I adore them all. Halo 4s acting and campaign is incredible, Del Rio is genuinely angry, Cortana is genuinely scared and Lasky was Lasky.
Halo 3 ODST was awesomely stylised with its music and setting and everything was done right. But none of these games really had a good multiplayer (the best multiplayer is still Halo 2).

But all round I always resort back to Halo: Reach as my favourite, not because it was the best at any one thing but did everything pretty good; and admittedly a decent chunk of nostalgia as it was my first online game. The campaign was great and really got you interested in Noble Team with the short time you experienced with them. Firefight was the best and I still don’t know why it has been removed since. Online Multiplayer is some of the best fun I’ve ever had and I had many late nights screwing around in forge world.

ODST since it’s the only open-world game in the series and I love the atmosphere and music.
Reach is a close second.

Halo 2 by a long shot for campaign. Good story, good characters, good level design for campaign and the bugs and broken pieces in them tend to some how make the game better, sound design is great both classic and anniversary, I liked the cutscenes before but blur made them perfect, simple yet detailed artsyle, amazing soundtrack, and just overall fun to play. Several missions i can play over and over again and not get bored of them.

Multiplayer wise, halo 3. The maps are memorable, physics are fun, equipment keeps it interesting, and everything feels generally balanced but not so obsessed with balance that the game doesnt feel fun.

Honorable mentions: halo ce and odst largely for atmosphere and soundtrack but they both had plenty of great aspects.

My favorite was Halo 3. There so much about that game that I love! There’s things that I love about all of them and things I hate about all of them too, but it was all the hype and people talking about Halo 3 in school before it came out that made it really special. Definitely my favorite time to play video games!

That’s a hard question, it would have to be Halo 3 just due to the amount of games played and good times had.

Halo: Combat Evolved simply because that’s where it all started.

I think we’ll see another installment, I’m just not sure as to when that’ll be. We’re still very much in the dark with Halo Infinite so thinking about whatever comes after that, is years down the road

Halo 3

Halo Combat Evolved - the story was so much fun. That was back when everything was mysterious - the covenant, the rings, the flood, even the master chief. Cortana was like your best friend. The missions were all memorable. The original Marty score was and still is the best out of all the games imo. The pistol was the most exciting weapon to use in any game I have ever played, and still is. It’s amazing how people dog the pistol in multiplayer while dismissing how much fun it made the campaign.

I would have to agree with you on Halo 2, plus the music is sick.
