What's your favorite fast-kill method?

In the heat of battle, which of these strategies do you use to get a fast kill in a 1v1 confrontation? Do you have any others that you use?

  • Noob combo (Charged up plasma burst, then switch to precision rifle and one headshot)
  • grenade to the feet and then headshot
  • running and slicing with sword
  • crouching , camping and waiting for people hidden while using a shotgun or fast one kill weapon
  • no scoping with the binary or any sniper rifle
  • assault rifle , suppressor or storm rifle rush and gun butt once shields are down
  • needler’ing someone in a narrow hallway
  • dmr sniping from atop higher ground
  • auto sentry deployment + precision weapon 4 shot kill

Seems you died a lot of time by plasma charge + headshot to call it noob combo, as:

  1. I saw noone using it, so it can’t be noob
  2. it requires skill becouse before you charge pistol and switch weapons you could have been already dead
  3. the “run & sword” is the most noob combo from the first halo

i think you can still melee kill them before shields are down, its called bleed through or somethin

If it works, why should I mind? :smiley: I still believe that it’s anyway less noob than:

  1. running and slicing with sword
  2. crouching , camping and waiting for people hidden while using a shotgun or fast one kill weapon
  3. no scoping with the binary or any sniper rifle (this is not skill, is just trying to hope in a lucky hit)
  4. needler’ing someone in a narrow hallway

Noob combo means that you need no skill XP camping has no skill, same as using a sword, while the needler is just an easier version of the Plasma+headshot as you don’t need switching weapon XP

In any case my favourite way of fast killing is sticking a plasma granade in the enemy face and have fun looking him exploding :smiley:

I think most of us can agree that the over charged plasma pistol\head shot combo is pretty legit now. There is less aim assist and longer time to switch weapons so if a so called “noob” was attempting this they would just be killed by a more skilled player. The overcharged shot is still a viable way to get kills but it has turn into a more skilled craft now than it ever was before.

Hologram as decoy, melee and ar/dmr finisher (depending on map).

shoot em in the face. with everything. then sick a hologram on em. thats the best method there is.

Wow, Talk about assuming . Not. I use the new combo more than anything else, I don’t know where you got the notion that I get killed a lot By it. Just for your information that’s the name that was given to that Combo Wayback then, It isn’t a name that I chose for it. Did you even check my stats before opining?

One of my cheapest kills so far was when I was on a team of randoms that were abusing the hologram to the point I was able to run up in a group and execute one of them because they must of assumed I was just a hologram

Lurking in small areas with power weapons. Its so fun to watch a guy run around a corner only to get hit in the face with a rocket.
