What's your button layout for the Elite Controller

I just got my Elite Controller and it’s so damn uncomfortable…I’ve won my last btb match with a -10 kd -.- (thank god it was CTF), but i guess I just have to relearn the controls for the game. I was wondering therefore what’s the best button layout to get the full advantage of the controller. I’m not (solely) talking about Button Layouts like BJ or Recon. I’m more interested in how to remap the buttons to be more efficient.

Currently I’m using following Setup:
Recon (I used that before and thought it could boost my learning process as I’m familiar with it)
Top Left: Jump
Lower Left: Crouch
Top Right: Melee
Lower Right: Sprint/Switch Weapons (Constantly switching these two as I don’t know what’s the better choice)
Left Stick: Sprint

What’s your Button layout and why do you prefer it over some other?

The problem here is you bought an elite controller

Legacy Southpaw or bust

Lt-zoom
Lb-melee
Rt-fire
Rb-n/a
Y- switch weapons
X-reload
A- dpad left
B-dpad right
Right top paddle-grenade
Right bottom paddle-jump
Left top paddle - crouch
Left bottom paddle- thrust

Before getting the elite controller I played on bumper Jumper but after getting it I switched to default with only two paddles (lower left jump lower right thrust). If I were to add the other two paddles I would make them the bumpers. It’s really whatever feels good to you though

That was neither my question, nor is it the topic of the threat. If you wanna b*tch about the controller open a thread and do so, but don’t spam other threads with you’re non constructive BS.

I paid 120 but whatever…It’s not the topic of this post

do you use an elite controller? If yes, how did you map your paddels?

Wow that’s a drastic one ^^ Which layout did you use with the standard controller? Default?

Honestly for me i didnt remap any buttons other than the paddles on the back but heres my layout.

Left stick default
Right stick extended
Triggers hairline
Bumpers, abxy are all the same
Upper L triggger Y
Lower L trigger x
Upper R trigger b
Lower R trigger a

So basically just abxy mapped to paddles.

I use bumper jumper…and honestly i dont even change the contrller physically anymore flwhen i play other games its just really comfortable this way for me played most of Tomb Raider just using paddles.

As for getting used to it, without thinking i KNEW what each paddle did, i just had to retrain twitch reflexes and coordination. Took me about 10ish hours

would you rather have the weapon switch or the sprint button on one of your paddle? I’m thinking of using only 2 paddles as well, cause the controller feels so uncomfortable… I can’t hold it the way I’m used to…but I guess this will come along as time goes on…

Hell jumper with only two paddles mapped to Sprint and thurst

Never could find one i liked switched around a bunch. I dont think its too drastic the setup. I feel its very smooth

I only used 2 at first cuz it felt weird. Use 4 though. Get used to it its better to have ur finger on the trigger and both thumbs on the sticks. Ur not getting the full potential with only 2 paddles

I recommend putting switch grenade on the paddles instead of sprint/ change weapon. Helped me a lot. Also when I switched my right stick to aggressive I started aiming better. Although that may just be preference. It took me around a week to get used to the paddles so just keep trying.

Ok, I thought as well to start only with 2 paddles since with all 4 I can’t grip the controller like I’m used to…And after some time to add the other two…how long did it take to adapt the first 2 and than all four paddles?

That’s neat! I Think I’ll try that instead switch weapons! Does this bump up your sensitivity? I addad the taller stick to the right one, and feel like it’s messing me already up and I’m constantly adjusting the sens (6 to 5 to 4 and vice versa).

Isn’t this the controller where you can assign buttons to do what ever you want them to do? If so what is the problem? You can have the buttons any way you want them.

There isn’t one, I’m just asking for some recommendation

It will take you 2 to 4 weeks to get used to the padels/layout and that if you play 2 hours a day. Button layout is personal preferance.
I had run on my left stick but always haveing to press it my finger grew tired easyly so put it back to a couse you dont need aim when you start running.
lt- granade
lb- jumb
l stick push granade change
l upper padle- thruster
l buttom p- croutch
rt- shoot
rb- action/reload
r uuper p- melle
r buttom p- switch weapons
mid stick for movement
long one for aim
with the long stick it felt better to raise my sensi by one
