If you were a Spartan what full set of armor would you wear and why(give some lore reasons why as well if you want). For me its the Raijin armor because of its maximized combat performance. What about you guys what armor would you wear.
I would wear the original Mark V(B) with Recon helmet and one rack of sniper ammo on my right shoulder, left is a UA pauldron and the soft storage packs from Reach.
As a Spartan III I eschew the modern armor with the gimmicks shoved in, I survived the Fall of Reach with this.
As a Spartan IV, mine’s kind of tricky, I would wear my Halo 4 armor which is a combination of Recruit helmet, Aviator chest-plate, Air Assault shoulders, XV-27 Shifting forearms and LG-50 Bulk leg armor.
(Or look at it)
<---------------
I would wear that mix because it’s a good combination of mobility and resistance during the battle
As a Spartan, wear whatever armor that isn’t damaged.
As a player, nothing really comes to mind if I go by looks. Mix and match?
Mark 5 armor with recon armor chest helment and arms
Eh… I’d rather be an ODST using Nightfall armor with the ODST/Helljumper helmet. The NIGHTFALL armor is technically power armor, after all. Not Mjolnir level, of course, but this is still promising for the possibility of seeing useful marines in the future Halo titles (plus, Nightfall armor looks cooler than the ODST BDU imo, but the helmet is meh)
As for lore reasons-
Being powered is an advantage to any suit of armor, the Nightfall armor was designed to allow the user to survive high falls without injury, such as that from a dropship.
While the ODST/Helljumper helmet is well rounded for protection and HUD setup (radar, ammo, ect.)
FOTUS
Tracer Jackpoint. I like the color scheme and capabilities of the armor.
It is silly but I like my charred recruit because it has skulls and flames and that is awesome. Mostly the skulls, I like skulls.
Hellcat all day everyday
Teishin body with freebooter helmet. In addition to looking cool, the combonation provides benefits in the areas of general combat, urban assaults and again, just looks cool.
Helioskrill: My anger, joy & endurance made it worth it to earn it.
The Nomad Wanderlust set. It is a simple and not flashy design (I love the shoulder mounted light!) but with the Wanderlust paint job it has a very subtle and cool style. Also, low/no gravity, in space, dark areas are where I have had extreme fun in Halo games (Cairo Station / Blue Team) so it just fits to what I would want to be as a Spartan
I’m going to use Reach’s customization because it is the best and I’m used to it, okay?
JFO (or Operator) helmet, Collar/Breacher armor, Commando right shoulder, Sniper left shoulder, Tacpad wrist, Trauma Kit utility, and FJ/Para knees.
ODST everything! In blue and red with a neon blue visor
Rogue helmet and… Rogue helmet… and…
Seriously, the helmet matters most to me. The armor is secondary.
Always ODST
I’d go with the Recluse Seri armor with the Recruit Proven Helmet. I’ve tried on some other armor like the Noble Armor, but for some reason, I feel as though the Recluse armor has grown on me. I felt like it’s just a part of me, as far as I can imagine. For me, I think it has a bit of a semi classic look, with it having a Mk.V style chest piece if you look at it one way. It does seem to have a bit of a resemblance Master Chief’s current armor and the armor from Halo reach (Probably more so when compared the concept art for Halo reach’s armor, though that’s just my take on it). As for the helmet, I think the Recruit Helmet is a part of me also. I like how it slightly resembles an ODST Helmet and Noble Six’s helmet (again, my take on it.) And I like my helmet to have a visor.
For the lore, aside from its sleek appearance, I like how it can be focused on stealth, with the description saying that it was “created for missions that never happened, by Spartans who never were.” Basically, to some others, it doesn’t even exist.
The Hayabusa armour cause I just LOVE IT!
I would go for the classic mark v armor
