It’s quite a simple list for me:
- No Forge
- No Custom Games Browser
- Arbitrary customization limitations
- Lackluster Content Model
- And “No Forge” once again, because good night this game needs it

Why only 5? I have a much longer list. But…
1.Desync
1.Ping/Lag
1.Servers (EU)
1.Matchmaking (pairing, progress, ranked list, etc. All)
1.Cross play
They are all in the first place because they all depress me the same.
I only have 2 and they are both the reason why this game is a mess.
343 and Microsoft. They are the reason everyone can very easily come up with not just 5 annoying things, but more like 50 and some annoying things are literally broken.
1 The Community
2 weird melees
3 the word iconic
4 the community
5 other halo fans
Aggressive monetization/bare bones game stripped for profit
Empty open world
Unimpressive open world graphics (even on Series X)
No major set pieces and hardly any cool moments in campaign
Outlandish non-canon armors
Think 5 is good. You can easily see what the major things that need to be addressed, also its a good topic for people to chat to each other to give out tips or stories about previous games and how it was different to infinite.
Crossplay isn’t the problem. Its the cheaters. PC players complain about aim assist. Console players complain about mice. The whole point is null.
The cheaters suck, and they need to put in anti-cheat.
I’m defending crossplay because it allows my girlfriend and I to play together. She’s on a Series X (she managed to find a Halo limited edition one) and I’m on PC. We wouldn’t be able to spend as much time together because we’re both busy and live apart without crossplay. Getting rid of it now only tears people apart.
Ok so when cheating is predominantly a pc problem and console player buy into a locked system to limit this. Then why do we have to suffer for another platform.
Crossplay should always be optional.
The two can never be balanced neither can controller vs mnk. Its a nice option to have crossplay if you want it.
And as far as tearing people apart its making people leave the game.
Crossplay as you put it is good for that reason and that reason alone really every time I hear it. It’s good for people to be able to connect with each other to have a good time together but not when it’s mandatory in a way. There should be an option to have it on or off to tailor the way you play. Of course people should have the ability to play together but not at the cost of others who feel like they’re being forced into it.
PC and Console shouldn’t be in competition with each other its such a stupid thought to think that they are even. (Not saying you’re stupid or what you said, thanks for the comment btw)
It’s like two kids playing a game. One kid is way more talented that can do things with ease while the other kid struggles a little bit but can still play.
It’s not fair to have these two kids play together when that one kid keeps winning and then complains if the kid that struggles gets a helping hand. It’s not good for either really.
Not in any particular order:
1.) Melee lunge
2.) Lack of player collision
3.) Mode-specific challenges for game types you can’t specifically choose to play.
4.) Desync
5.) The 6 year wait and all the hype to end up with another MCC-like launch with unfulfilled promises and deafening silence from 343.
Think i took the MCC 6 years to have settings to choose what servers to toggle on and off. Its crazy to think that with this new halo infinite doesn’t have a lot of features that previous games have
These three things, plus:
-Ranking System
-Challenges
Excluding the big missing features from the game that we’ll eventually get (forge, co-op etc)
If I could like your post more I would. Everything you said nails it and I read this whole post. Your is spot on.
Yeah ,no ill will man. I love discussion!
I agree they are not even, but its not just pc vs console. There’s also monitors and TV’s. There are even differences among consoles. I might be on PC, but I’m on a standard Hard drive, with a 1080p 60hz monitor, GF is on a 4k 75hz TV with the Series X’s Solid State Drive. And she was on an Xbox One S on that same TV before. My point is that even if crossplay is disabled, it will never be fair for everyone. All PC’s are different, both in hardware and input. Some prefer controller, others don’t. Some use an adaptive controller, some use the pro controller. Even among console users, it will never be fair because the Xbox console already has 5 different specs. (Xbox One, S, X, Xbox Series S, Series X) That’s why I feel the PC vs console debate is null and void. Even consoles aren’t standard in hardware. It isn’t fair for anyone and it won’t ever be!
I agree that cross-play should not be in Ranked though. They should let you choose there. Ranked should be as close to competitive as possible without limiting everyone to Xbox One levels of performance (since people don’t have the powerful consoles you have to scale everyone down, not up). Turning off crossplay for social abandons a good chunk of their fanbase. At least those of us still here.
You used the two kids metaphor, but that’s just life. Some people do some things better than others. Some get help, some don’t. We’re all on the same boat together in life. Thinking that turning off crossplay will suddenly make skill the only factor in gameplay, isn’t realistic. You can separate the children into their own little corners to play by themselves, but that doesn’t do either good. And the bully (the cheaters) is now beating one kid instead of both. And the parent (343) who separated the kids basically condemned one to save the other. I don’t see that as any better they parent is still letting the bully do what they want.
