Ok, im from Spain 600\600 optic fiber. Usually get ±40ms ping in EU servers… Why im getting 200 ping games??? And not, my internet is fine, fix your servers 343…
And fix the terrible dsync too… Is just a shame, even in tourneys the spectator mode is awful… Fix it.

Yeah, I know but is not the problem in this case. Is like 40 ping and boom 200 ping, 40 ping, 200 ping… All time in the same game, looks like a bug in the servers… Yesterday and today in happening in 70% of my games and thats sucks.

You’re seeing your ping spike you mean? Mines gone up to 1000s at times then back down. Lag, desync, rubber banding, all that stuff going on. I’m from the US, so I can only imagine its worse for you. I’ve started my own custom game and have seen that happen with only me and bots in the match. I end game, start again, and bam. ~22ms ping and pretty stable. I don’t get it.

Very rarely now do I ever get a non-laggy game anymore. If any whatsoever actually. All my other games run fine. Infinite on the other hand acts like I have McDonald’s WiFi.

Another thing that only recently has been spotted is Halo Infinite eats up A LOT of your Internet data. If you have a limit on your internet data, then Infinite can run that up very quickly compared to other titles. And that could mean extra charges from your ISP bill next month.
There is something inherently wrong with Infinite’s networking. It is affecting much more of Halo Infinite than the eye lets you believe.

Agreed. I’ll get on infinite and our internet (fiber btw so it’s master tier stuff) will go mental and have a stroke at the same time.
No, isnt lag pikes… Is like the game start with 40 ping and in a minute is 200 ping maybe for 2 or 3 minutes and back to 40 ping… And is always 40 ping to 200 or 38 ping in irish server to 198 ms… Is so weird and so anoying… And im not the only one, happen to my friends too.

Thats weird. I said ping spiking though cause thats what mines does. It won’t go from 40 to 100 and stay at 100 for a minute. It goes up and down the entire match every second, not stable at all. Its so hard to aim and react in those matches.

I just turned the game off. It’s not even fun to play cause of the lag/desync. Pretty much to the point of shelving the game until it’s fixed. I’ve been patient and supportive to this point but why play if all the game does is frustrate you.
I literally just experienced this. Went between 60 and 150 ping all game, usually mid-fight.
343 just needs to hire talented people and redo the networking a bit.
I love that when I play Gears 5 “a game that has a very low player base” I have ping between 20ms and 50ms. 343 should ask TC for assistance.
I’ve noticed when I play solo it’s ok, but when I play with my son who’s on a pc on the same network my shots don’t register. It might be the competition since he’s higher ranked but I swear it’s the shots not registering
Did you make sure there are no issues at your end? What I mean by this is,
- Having wired connection instead of wifi
- Making sure your console/pc has priority over all other devices on the network (It’s called QoS)
- If on PC, no other processes running in the background and using substantial bandwidth
Hopefully your problem is local and you can fix it yourself. Because I can guarantee you if the problem is server side 343 won’t fix it for a long time. And when they do they will break something else.
Also, having 600 up 600 down doesn’t mean much as that is your bandwidth. Latency is the time it takes for the first packet to arrive. I used to have 1 up 10 down and be on 19ms at the Amsterdam server, now I have 10 up 100 down and I’m on 23ms.
Nah, its all fine. Open nat, no downloads etc… I have 40 and 38ms in EU servers usually and when it happen is just to 200 or 198ms ping depending on what servers. Its not ups or downs is just jumps… Start a game 200 ping some minutes and 40 ping maybe keeps in 40 or just back to 200… Is weird an random. And notice at least 4 friends who happen the same sh*t…
Halo Infinite is badly optimized, thats why.
