The Spartan laser used to be so OPand now it takes multiple shots to kill an enemy Spartan and enemy vehicles! Not to mention the cool down and charge times and with only a handful of shots! It’s like all odds are against you!

It is intended for anti vehicle only, sadly that doesnt work all the time either. They need to revert back to Halo 3’s version with sound because then it will sound like it should and act upon on what it was intended for, taking out both!
It’s because it does not shoot one beam at once like in Halo 3. It shoots multiple beams at once and most of them have to land in order to get the kill.
yeah I’m not good with any of the three splasers. they are weak and the one that is good has so much recoil that I end up over shooting my target lol
The main problem is the charge time for me. If I get it in fiesta, I may as well give up.
I heard they were “tweaking” it, hopefully that means buffing. Hit two different scorpions and it didn’t do anything really to either of them.
Was in a scorpion and had a gungoose nail me twice (may have been three times) and I was on fire.
I hate what they have done with the Splaser. I was in Warzone, I aim and charged one up to take out a Banshee. I kept my reticule on it the entire time it was firing, but it barely scratched the shields. Why even spawn a Splaser when I have a better chance to take out heavy vehicles with a railgun?
I can live with the damage it dishes out but the charge time is simply too long and any half decent player should be able to kill you with any weapon in the time it takes to fire.
Well here’s the thing: The laser itself is actually multiple “hit check” lazers. A certain percentage needs to hit for an infantry kill. All of them hitting can destroy most vehicles. That said, Spartans in Halo 5 are much more agile than previous Halos. As a result one must be very accurate and consistent with the laser in order to get enough “hits” on the enemy.
The only “balanced” buff I can think of is increasing the RoF of the “hit checks”. Essentially it would fire all the lasers in a shorter time frame. Infantry that gets hit is more likely to die, but it will have less opportunity for a grazing hit.
I was never much for the spartan laser anyway, but I find it handy for getting rid of vehicles in a pinch.
I like the Spartan Laser in H5, but not the different versions of it.
