Whats wrong with the lore?

I myself enjoy the lore of the halo universe, and have seen many people complain about how Reach has contradicted or blew away predefined lore. I’d just like to know how? Where did the game go wrong story wise?

The ending of it. How Cortana was essentially handed off via Spartans to Captain Keys who then flew off in the Autumn.
Ask anybody who’s read any of the books (cannon) and you’ll know this was a big deviation on how that -Yoink- went down.

But… I don’t really care. As a stand alone game with only one or two things that sorta went away from book cannon, I thought it was absolutely fine. Played into the whole Big Hero Destiny sorta vibe that Halo try’s to install in it’s players/viewers. You feel pumped beyond all measure and proud of accomplishing objectives.
You felt like a badass handing off the torch that lead into the original games.

Too many people were butt hurt over it when they should have stepped back and just enjoyed the game for how well it played and what it got right in regards to multiplayer.

@Foehammer2, you really summed it up right there. Not much else to say, besides to look past the lore mess up to find the real fun in the game.
