What’s wrong with Sprint? I honestly do not see what’s wrong, and all these complaint threads never really bring up a certain point. All I see are mindless complaints. When points are brought up, I find that the creator of the thread only wants their opinion to be expressed, completely ruining the entire thread because there is nothing to talk about. Pull up a chair, let’s talk.
Sprint allows players to make mistakes and not be punished because they can just sprint away.
Without sprint, map control is emphasized much more, is harder to obtain, and is much more rewarding once you do get it.
The problem is that some people have had the misfortune of playing with “noobs” that instead of shooting at a player, will sprint for a double melee kill. This has happened to me so few times I can hardly summon up the courage to actually say this has happened to me.

Oh yeah and it encourages the run and hide tactics.
Some people believe that it will be a crutch for bad players to run away from fights that they were suppose to lose. While that is very apparent in reach, it really isn’t clear how it will work in Halo 4, which is why people need to calm down.
Nothing that I can see. It’s a topic that is talked about too much. There’s the classic playlists if you want to play Halo 4 without sprint or you could play Halo 3 or even Halo 2 (with certain techniques such as Halo 2 vista, so I’ve been told).
I think people are scared of it being like Reach, but it wasn’t made by 343. 343i is trying to start a new trilogy and have new ideas. They’ve been developing for the last 3-4 years, I’m sure sprint will be balanced in that time. Also, from what we have been shown, Halo 4 doesn’t look similar for Reach except for sprint, and that looks like it’s being done differently.
We don’t know how it’s going to play out until the game is released. We should at least give them a try.

Here you go. Enough points on why sprint should not be included.
Alright, I’ve come to a conclusion that, yes, Sprint has it’s flaws. Thanks guys.

Oh well you know we should remove crouch as well because that helps people hide oh also lets remove the motion tracker the HUD all together and just have players aim down the sights and have to remember how many rounds they have in their weapons. Lets make this game as skill based as possible so we only give one life per player account meaning when you die you are dead for good. The game should be as hard as possible with no training mode or games just one large survival game.
Nothing’s wrong with sprint.
The fact is that the introduction (in this case the maintaining) of a new mechanic force players to re-invent, re-think their strategies.
Obviously the majority of them is too lazy and prefers to complain to death instead of ADAPT.
Sirs, Reach (at least, in my opinion) was ruined from the beginning not by sprint, but by BLOOM (that works perfectly only on the AR).
Damn it, you just had to ask this question. We were doing OK without not 1.sprint thread and now this comes up again. It’s like new sprint thread is purposely created when the other is about to die…
Thread death, oh please let this one die quickly.
Did you play Halo: CE,2,3 before you played Reach? There was no sprint and there doesn’t need to be.

If you really want to believe that the anti-sprint people can’t/won’t adapt, then you are extremely ignorant. The most skilled people are the ones against sprint, you will lose regardless if sprint is there or not, they just don’t think its a good game mechanic.
On these forums I have seen ONE 50 in H3 actually defend sprint, and thats saying something
