Whats wrong with halo with guardians

I was on the hype train for quite some time now, but this game has some flaws which need to be pointed out.

1. Motion Tracker
At this point the radar is pretty much pointless. It’s so small whenever I see a red dot on it, the enemy is already in front of me. It does not show if the enemy is up or down, which leads to confusion, just like in halo 3 construct. The motion tracker got messed up big time.

2. Graphics
It seems the 60 fps have a major downside to the game. The resolution sucks, and you all have noticed already how low the frame rate for enemies in the ‘distance’ is. With distance I mean about 5 meters. Now if this would only be in campaign I could forgive this, but in arena and warzone? The last bit of 'br duels or pistol duels got destroyed with this. It literally makes me dizzy while shooting and I tend to miss the target because of it.

3. Skill Gap
The auto weapons along with smart scope are way too powerful. With AR starts it becomes a spray fest, noob friendly for everything and everyone. With the BR I was able to outgun an AR enemy close range in every halo before, but in this one it’s impossible. There’s zero skill gap in this game. Strafing is not necessary/doable, the pistol shooting rate is too slow to have a chance against a close range enemy with an AR. The kill times are too short. I hate to say this, but it does feel like CoD. What I loved about halo was the fact that u could still fight back when someone got u from behind, but in this one it’s not feasible. It’s a game about spotting someone before he spots you and not about handling your weapon proper.

4. Teams are unbalanced
There is no party vs random restriction. This leads to extremely unbalanced matches. And even with that missing core part of a competitive match, we still get quit bans? I’ve already had numerous matches where some team stomped ours and I had to run and hide around the map and endure such ludicrous matches just to not get banned from matchmaking.

5. Lonve wolving
I understand that teamplay is a major part of a competitive match, but halo 5 took that to a whole other level. I literally have to follow my team around and try to farm some kills while they are distracting some enemy. In order to survive in this game you have to constantly follow your team like a dog does with his owner, Individual skill development in this game is absent. If you try to lone wolve around the map you will get killed and you will get frustrated fast trust me. Every amateur is now suddenly a serious opponent because there’s nothing to exploit or improve your skill upon in this game.

6. Spawn places are awful
It felt like battlefront. I spawn behind enemies, they spawn in front of me while I have no shield ect…

LOL at the no skill gap comment OP seriously haha??? The AR in this game is okay but I have yet to have any problems destroying people who using the AR rather than the Pistol.

  1. I agree that the distance should be increased, but not telling you up or down is deliberate and encourages map knowledge.

  2. I’m too busy enjoying myself to notice missing frames. I noticed it on digital foundry’s video, but I have not noticed it at all when I’ve been playing. I don’t care. The game looks Gorgeous

  3. Basically you want it to go back to when the AR was utterly useless, because it ruins skill gap, right?. Here’s some Skill knowledge for ya. The AR is now fitting in the niche it’s designed for, from CLOSE RANGE it should be able to dominate a BR, and at close range, it can still be countered by a Pistol wielded by a skilled player. You should use your “Skillz” to either use your pistol, or recognize the need to keep some distance in order to use your BR effectively.

  4. No comment about this.

  5. “Oh noes, I got killed by 2 or 3 guys cause I was by myself.” This has happened to me as well, however, I recognize it as a defect in my playstyle based on new game scenarios, don’t blame the game cause you made a choice that was not necessarily a beneficial one.

  6. No comment. Guess I haven’t played enough for it to bother me.
