Seriously, this week has been bad Halo 5’s services. One minute the REQ’s aren’t working (either in menu or in game), your profile (and everyone’s) can’t be updated due to an error, games not recording any progress made in said game (boosts will still be burned however), and Commendations information becomes unavailable. Seriously, if your server-side information can’t keep track of all these services, make it should be a priority to either fix them or take notes on not to overburden and limit the amount of data that requires server-side resources to utilize. This unavailability of services has always been here on Halo 5, but now this past week, it seems like every other hour services go back up and another one goes down.
This always brings me back to my biggest question in gaming: Why Halo? Why is it always Halo that has features that don’t always work? It’s not a knock on 343 Industries at all, as even Bungie had its issues with achievements being glitchy and unlocking under conditions they weren’t supposed to, not to mention the Recon armor not unlocking for some players ever despite them completing all VidMaster achievements and it later being available to everyone. Not everyone who used the mobile app for Reach got their Eternal Armor Effect. 343i had severe bugged achievement issues in Halo 4, I’m going to excuse the MCC considering that was unprecedented for something that massive to be done (so it’s no wonder why something that huge had so many issues, which is why I excuse it) and now Halo 5. At least the Timmy helmet has been solved. You’d think a game published by Microsoft would have a lot of the kinks worked out and systems and services that worked for a good majority of the time only going down every so often for maintenance. Again no hate towards 343i, imo they are one of the best developers out there. Just why does it have to be Halo that has all these problems? It’s got to be a headache to fix on the dev’s side of things as it is for players experiencing it.
