People are comparing CSR to BpR from reach as evidence that it won’t work. First off there is a huge difference between whats been outlined for CSR and what BpR was. BPR from what I gathered was just a number 1-100 that measured your k/d assists and stuff over all playlist and pooped out a number. We can’t say it failed because it was waypoint only. The number was arbitrary and non-progressive thats why it failed.
The main differnece then is that there is a unique CSR to each playlist and it is based on “match outcomes” which is exactly how halo 3 worked.
I don’t see it being waypoint-only a problem since most gamers (i’m making a personal generalization) have smartphones anyway and can check it while playing. If not smartphones most gamers should at least have a computer.
So whats the big beef with CSR?
I don’t know the inner workings, but there are game specific problems with it.
