you are not suppose to revive old threads on the forums but what it its relevant to a current issue?
That’s a judgement call we make when we come across the threads. If it’s actually relevant, sometimes we leave them.
But by and large if a thread gets revived after a long period of inactivity, odds are it’s better to make a new thread if the issue is actually pertinent. Most of the people in the original thread are very unlikely to come back or care anymore.
To add to the above, information can very quickly become out of date (in a matter of hours sometimes). We’ve seen in the past that reviving an old topic has brought up some very serious confusion around things that were resolved, but the info in the topic was out of date
