I posted a thread yesterday simply asking if we would get the original breakout mode back. And a forum monitor came by and locked the thread. What’s with these guys? What exactly was bad about me asking such a simple question? Give someone an ounce of power and they go crazy with it.
Careful what you say there bud you can literally be suspended for questioning monitors decisions. They probably locked your breakout thread because there is already an official or popular threat about it.
Did you at least get a message from them? They usually send you a message and give you a reason (I think they have to because they can’t just close it for no reason).
Maybe if you link the post, I can help you figure out why they closed it…

At this point I do not care. I posted a thread about a simple question. Nothing offensive, no vulgarity, no name calling and it gets locked. I don’t care if there is some obscure mega thread on a topic. All I did was ask a question. The halo community is decreasing in number as it is. Having these monitors patrolling the forums and locking threads without providing reason is ridiculous.

No, of course there can be. In this case, the issue is just that the thread you posted was in a section it shouldn’t have been. There was a specific area for threads on this very topic where you could’ve posted, but you didn’t, so it got locked.

It clutters up the place. Remember to ‘keep it clean’.
I’ve just never seen this gung ho level of moderation before. I’m an active participant on the Gears forums and I never see this kind of stuff happen unless foul language is being used or if someone is purposefully spamming. 343 needs to loosen their restrictions on forum posting.
Your topic was locked because there is a dedicated feedback thread in the Matchmaking forums. For certain topics megathreafs exist to consolidate feedback and keep the forums clean.
In future if you have issues with forum moderation decisions, please PM either the moderator in question or a member of the moderation team.
