Now that they’ve announced doubles, I see a bunch of posts claiming they ruined it etc.
What’s the deal, it is basically exactly the same thing. You haven’t even played it yet it is already ruined, it was the same for Grifball yet it’s fun as hell.
Seriously?
Infinity CTF is ruined too, but that’s not released yet.
People just like complaining about something.
They hate because they can lol…because they even have a pro, and infinity version of it.
Whatever, I’m sure some troll will be on here to refute me within minutes…

Well from what I can tell it’s a few things. The first one is the dislike of the DMR. Even though the DMR’s power varies depending on the map. The general consideration is that people don’t like the DMR, and find it game breaking, and everyone will default to it in the Pro doubles setting.
The next thing people don’t like is that many veterans prefer the BR start. It’s simply tradition that people want to see come back.
As for the explosives argument I’m not sure about this. Apparently a pro said they found explosives to be needed for competitive play, but I’m not sure since it brings everyone’s damage back to around equal with grenades. So…Yeah…
I think the only valid argument is the DMR argument, because it’s a very popular weapon, but depending on the map and how you deal with DMR it may not be that big of deal. I’m more of a, “see how it plays out before passing judgement on something” sort of guy. I’ve been proven wrong too many times for casting judgement before it was played.
i’m pretty sure any competitive player that is skilled does not want an infinity variant. the only use for that garbage gametype is to instantly identify if your opponents are completely unskilled before the match starts (cause 99% of the time if given the choice a good player wont chose infinity)

Do not state opinions as facts. I know some incredibly skilled Halo 3 players who enjoy the infinity variant.
In your opinion infinity slayer, is to instantly identify if your opponents are completely unskilled before the match starts. That’s your opinion. Not fact.

i never said it was fact. but it is for the most part true. if you don’t believe me, think about that statement i made when you are matching up with people in team dubs next week. do a poll for yourself who picks what gametype and how good they are as opponents, i bet 3 internets that i’m right

Again do not state your opinion as facts. And if from previous trends hold true, I believe people will pick the infinity doubles more since it was the most played playlist when pro was around.
You act as if it is fact really…but besides.
Maybe if everyone is using the DMR then you should too since its apparently the only worthy weapon.
And I find myself rarely using the DMR and still getting great K/D with my BR, carbine, and sometimes assault rifle, and even magnum.
the BR is actually my most used weapon…

I second this, on maps like Haven I have absolutely no problem destroying DMR users. I’ve gotten so good with the BR that I effectively use it on Complex and end up in the top 3 of the match. The DMR does not outclass the BR nearly as much as people claim.
Where is hate for Team Doubles? I’m that kind of guy you would probably call a complainer and the only thing I complain about TD is dexterity (although not THAT bad), flinch (which is not limited to Team Doubles) and that there is a infinity version of it.
DMR is fine, I like that gun. Team Doubles pro sounds better than Reach’s.

slayer pro was garbage, that is why nobody played it. the settings were bad, the maps were bad and too big, the weapon sandbox is way unbalanced. that is fact and it is the reason why nobody wanted to play. just cause its labeled “pro” does not automatically make it a good gametype
