Been playing some BTB tonight and after every game before going into the intermission the screen is frozen, can’t do anything. Sometimes it continues on in the intermission and sometimes it takes me to the ranked playlist menu (usually a delayed reaction perhaps to me trying to back out of intermission. But a couple of times after the freeze it booted me out of the game and to the home menu.
Mine sometimes freezes after just regular custom games and i have to restart the game
This is a widespread issue for me. It happens on every playlist. The most frequent for me are firefight, btb, infection and warzone. It’s a gliched menu that still transitions to the next game most of the time, but sometimes there’s an infinate loading screen forcing me to close program and start again.
Almost every Warzone game is like this for me, especially when I’m in a party! I’m on Xbox One X, have the latest updates (4K update as well) and running off of a Seagate 8TB external hard drive.

Yeah I had another pretty bad freeze last night after a warzone game. Had to hard reset the Xbox.
There have been many reports of the game having issues since the last update.

i’ve actually had problems with the menus since launch. dont get me wrong i love halo 5 and dont go out of my way to slam on it, but the menu problems might just be the worst in any game i’ve ever played.
Same here buddy war zone mainly , also lots of times it’s searching for a game leaving me frozen in the menu unable to put boosts on and most the time it just shuts the game down entirely after this !!!
My game has always done this, but ever since the last update it doesn’t unfreeze. I used to be able to wait it out, but now I have to dashboard to play another match.
I predict another 50 gb update on the way.
I’ve always had freezes, but they seem to be worse after the update.
343 has been aware of the freezing issue for a week now. All we can do now is wait for them to release the hotfix.

Interesting, I’ve never really experienced problems with the menus. What issues do you get?
constantly freezes or goes unresponsive, when i say unresponsive i mean i can hear it getting the button prompt but nothing happens. its most common right after a match. Theres also an issue i can across where all of the playlists are greyed out and non selectable. used to have issues with the req stations menus as well, nothing would come up though i havent had that issue in a while and it usually seemed to have something to do with the getting the info from the server.
I hope they get it fixed soon. I don’t play much anymore because of the endless JIP and freezing every other game.

the game freezes but i still can open the xbox oneX dashboard and go inside the menu of the xbox (so it’s not the console that freezes but the game itself)
it generally happens after i play warzone firefight on the screen where you can see the warden of eternal…

It’s March 18th 2019, and this is still a huge problem.
Halo 5 keeps freezing after I’m playing super fiesta after when I finish the game it just gets stuck it’s like the 4th time it did it today already and I have to keep quitting the game ughhhhhhh I love halo 5 it’s the only game I enjoy playing
